Koss KPH14W Side Firing Headphones (White)

I was looking for a neat set of headphones. Found the mixed reviews confusing but Amazon Prime offered free returns. I am very pleased with them out of the box. Sound quality is great when tweaked with eq. OK they are not top of the range but with careful use they should last. I can understand some people might feel they are tight in the ear for prolongued listening but others have given suggestions for adjustment. Good value and very pleased. I hope they last.

As other reviews indicate, these do apply a noticeable force inside the ear. If you only use them for short periods of time, it’s ok. But I don’t think anyone would enjoy wearing these for more than 20 or 30 min. The band is plastic so trying to stretch them isn’t going to work (maybe with a heat gun). I’ve discovered a way to wear them so the speaker protrusions aren’t fully inside the ear canal and thus more comfortable. The sound is decent for an inexpensive product. I purchased them for light use on my iPad instead of going for my padded noise cancelling pair all the time. They will work fine for that. But if these had a thin metal band instead of plastic, they would be less of a clamp when wearing and be much more comfortable.

These are the worst head sets as far as comfort! There is no way they come close in comfort as the Sony set that it claims to compare with. Half hour of wearing them and my ears are very sore. Not big on comfort!
