I've had this item now for over a month and I've used it more than a few times. The generator seems well made, although the accompanying items, not so much. It has two switches. A power switch under the base and an on/off button at the front bottom of the unit. The seller kindly included several sheets of A4 on which they'd translated most of the User Manual. The generator can hold up to 2.5 ltr of saline. The instructions however, tell you how to mix 500ml of saline using the included measuring spoon and a (not very strong and leaking) mixing container.A cycle takes 10 minutes bringing an internal colour changing light and fizzing liquid, (which can only be seen if you remove the lid). For every multiple of 500ml, after each cycle, the on/off switch must again be pressed. The end of a cycle is announced by three faint beeps, the colour changing light goes out and the on/off green light changes to red. It's not electronic, it can't judge how much liquid is being used. The Hypochlorous acid cannot be drunk. (who'd want to drink saline anyway), it smells like a weak solution of chlorine and is only viable for a couple of weeks. After that, it’s totally harmless. I've used it to spray fruit & veg, postal packages, shower curtains and best of all, smelly kitchen sponges. It can remove mould whilst it's pink but isn't strong enough to remove black mould.Limescale, for me is a concern as I live in a hard water area. The instructions says if necessary, descale it using vinegar. I may not know when it needs descaling. There’s a grill inside which you can’t see through and I don't think is removable.A spray bottle is included. Not very strong and with mine, I can’t get it to mist. Luckily, Amazon sells cheap ones that do.

The description of this machine is misleading. This machine makes hypochlorous acid in solution with Sodium hypochlorite. The former is strongly anti-viral and can be used (in very different dilutions) for everything from fixing athletes foot to cleaning out a piggery or hen house. It works. My research indicates the hypochlorous acid element is only "good" for a couple of days, as it degrades, so you need to make fresh regularly. However the degraded solution remains a good cleaner, probably still antiviral but a bit less strong. It certainly brings a sparkle to my kitchen. I was disappointed at first with this machine as the instructions were not clear, however I am now happy with my purchase and I a using it to clean my holiday let, using different dilutions for different purposes: so for door handles, work tops and surfaces I a diluting more than for cleaning the toilet. This is a powerful cleaner, and you need to use gloves and take care how you dispose of any surplus product. Do NOT put it into a septic tank or digester.
