Very small - will help with working while flying
My biggest problems while flying is the lack of room for efficiently working on a laptop. I know, sounds like a luxury problem, but still - 4.5 hrs in the air flying to and from clients is a lot of time wasted on just watching movies / listening to music. This keyboard, although rubbery / plasticky, is the ideal keyboard to hook up to the playbook. The case holds the playbook securely , it can't fall out by itself, the keyboard is attached to the case, and when folded close, it's not that much bigger (though it is wider / heavier) than a Kindle Keyboard. After charging (the battery indicator switches from red to off when fully charged), i set the playbook to search for a bluetooth device, and told the keyboard to start pairing. The two devices immediately found eachother, and after punching in the pairing code (plus the enter key!) you can immediately start using it.It takes a little bit of getting used to, since the keys are rubbery, not like a conventional laptop keyboard. So for now, i just try and type blind, forget about the typos, and fix those when looking at the document on my regular laptop for sending. I'm sure that with more use i will improve my typing skills on this keyboard as well.Don't know about how long the keyboard holds a charge; and note that the keyboard uses a USB 2.0 Type B connector for charging purposes - so you do need to keep an 'old style' usb cable around. It does come with one, although the length of the cable is probably not long enough to charge using a wall outlet. I don't see an obvious way to change the battery, should it die on me in a couple of years. So, all in all, pretty good buy, sturdy case, getting more life out of my old playbook this way, and no need to carry two laptops around. My laptop bag is already full as it is...

5-row keyboards are tough for adult fingers
(also see update, below)>sigh<Two halves of this thing: keyboard & PlayBook holder. If you're a real typist, you will be mad at yourself for buying this for the keyboard. If you are a two-finger typist, you will manage and your skills at two-finger typing will not be harmed or interfered. There is a stupid key placement, however, in the left-bottom corner:Because a) the left-hand shift key is WAY too small, and because b) the caps LOCK key is adjacent to this stupidly-small key, therefore c) you will inadvertently lock your CAPS, or not hit shift. Far too small & really bad design for these two keys. The keys are too tightly packed for my adult fingers, and it is impossible for me to hit anywhere close to my 110wpm typing speed. There is no CAPS lock light (easily there could have been, or one of the lights could be multi-purpose).I predict you will be befuddled often when typing in your password for the device or the PlayBook bridge. The silicone cover over the entire keyboard removes most if not all of the tactile advantage of a real keyboard vs. a screen-display keyboard. Your fingers will be confused by it and get false feedback that you are actually pressing the right key in the right place without pushing down another key.It DOES look cool sitting on the table at a meeting. The side with the holder is barely ok:Because the PlayBook requires edge-screen swiping to bring up various menus and the keyboard, this case does a TERRIBLE job of not interfering with the edge-screen swiping, requiring you to awkwardly jam your fingers in to the corners and then swipe from there. The clips could be far better designed to be out of the way, and grab the playbook differently, or simply leave much more room for your fingers. When in the case, I yearn for it to be out of the case. The case looks nice, it looks nice under your arm, it looks nice at the meeting, it looks nice on your lap, on the desk, on the airplane. Finally, back to the keyboard, what totally kills me is that there is clearly room for 2 more rows of keys if they felt like it. The top 2" of the keyboard is completely wasted, but they pay to have it covered with silicone anyway.UPDATED 30 January 2012:When the battery gets low, which seems kinds quickly to me (2-3 hours), the bluetooth disconnects, the power turns off, the power turns on, then it reconnects for maybe 90 seconds (you can type) and then repeats the on-again-off-again 90 second cycle.I now realize the key design got even dumber:1) The CAPS LOCK key is duplicated within 1 key of each other2) The (|\) key is duplicated immediately adjacent to each other3) The left-arrow key is duplicated on the bottom row4) The top 1/5 of the keyboard is wasted as simply solid black silicone (with something underneath it when you press to feel)5) I have male hands, and they have to scrunch tightly to fit the ASDF JKL; profile for this QWERTY keyboard6) The single-quote mark is under your left hand, middle finger, and not on the right hand where it normally is placedOver time, I have come to be able to type on it fairly quickly, but that single-quote key gets me every single time, and the CAPS LOCK key is accidentally pressed quite frequently.

A must-have for note taking
I was recently appointed as the Secretary of a local group and didn't want to haul around my laptop to take minutes. So I began searching for a bluetooth keyboard for my Playbook. Initially I was hesitant about this one because some reviews said they had trouble using the top bezel and I use that frequently. But I decided I could modify it if necessary and for the price, I'd deal with any cosmetic issues from my modification. Well none needed! The case I received does not look like the one in the picture here. Somebody got the message about the frame interfering with the touch sensitive bezel and changed the frame design. It's easy to wake up the PB by swiping down the center of the tablet because the case's frame is now indented in the center vs. the corners. The frame is not hard plastic but is made from faux-leather which is easy to lift with a finger to put into stand-by or get to the settings icon. One of the reasons I chose the Playbook over an iPad is because it fits in my purse and with this case, it's about the size of a large paperback, and its total weight (inc. PB) is 1 lb 12 oz. I'll attempt to upload a photo. The set up instructions were very clear - just 4 easy steps. It took less than an hour to charge and it paired flawlessly the first time. I'm not a small person (my ring finger is a size 7) but I'm able to type fairly easily with both hands as long as I pay attention and don't go too fast.I paid for standard shipping and it arrived in 3 days. Couldn't be happier!
