WHY WE MADE THIS We made this sneaker to celebrate the everyday beauty of your child's favorite shoes. Not needing any break-in time, they provide everyday comfort. The "worn-before" look of the leather and sole ensures that the sneakers will look pretty much the same as they looked the day you bought them. The side zipper allow many toddlers and little kids to put them on by themselves with little or no assistance from their grown-ups. The rich calfskin leather lining and the cushioned insole provide comfort where it matters most. USE & CARE Like any favorite shoe, this fashion sneaker can be worn for casual play dates and even at weddings when your toddler has had enough of those snazzy but mightily uncomfortable shoes. They are not fit for the kiddie pool though. If that happens, shake the water out, wring the shoe and let it dry. Generally, you can wipe leather with a damp cloth to clean. For suede, gentle cleaning with an old toothbrush or suede brush works to remove stains. PRODUCTION & DESIGN Let's start with the sole: They are made from natural rubber and arrive at our factory looking clinically clean. We brush them to give them some "character" to ensure they look the same throughout the life of the sneaker. The upper is inspired by classic hightop sneaker vocabulary with a modern twist of convenience provided by the side zipper. This way, once your kid secures the laces in a comfortable fit, he or she can take the sneakers off and on by pulling the zipper down or up.
