Appears to be the same tech as Yeti and RTIC
I just received this earlier today. So, I'm still testing the ice retention of this bottle. I'll update as things develop. From what I can tell, the tech appears to be the same as Yeti. I bought this to replace my RTIC 64oz bottle. I cycle everywhere I go and that thing is just too bulky for my pack. I figure if I can get 2 of these, I'll have more volume, but less bulge, because it's so slender.Concerning lid options:**The Fifty/Fifty brand wide mouth lids DO fit this bottle exceptionally well**(This means that a similar lid from a Hydroflask bottle ~should~ also fit, since Fifty/Fifty and Hydroflask are identical bottles.)Klean Kanteen wide mouth lids DO NOT fit.Guyot Designs Nalgene bottle lid fits ok, but unscrews with 1/8th of a turn. Not recommended.Standard Nalgene lids fit exceptionally well and unscrew with about 5/8ths of a turn (most secure, though does not insulate).Humangear Capcap DOES NOT fit. That being said, it only takes half a turn to unscrew the (Fifty/Fifty) lid, just as with the stock lid. I notice the Fifty/Fifty lid, while on its own bottle, takes 1 complete revolution to unscrew. So, it's more secure. This may or may not be a deal breaker for me. From my experience, Nalgene is still the leader in making the most robust lids with thicker threads and more turns. Not sure why other companies can't seem to get it right. If you study the Guyot Designs stainless bottle from Nalgene, you'll see what I'm saying. I wish that were the standard. Otherwise, a different sort of lid they could have is a swing lock cap like the Klean Kanteen has. It's a simple design that I've had no issues with so far, and theres no need to worry about threads or leaking or straps breaking because they don't exist on that lid... eliminating several issues in one swoop. Though I'm sure they could just release a different bottle line with that sort of closure on it, probably the best option if they do it right, as the smaller diameter lid would increase ice retention.Luckily, I'm going for a welding class. So, I may be able to remedy these lid issues on my own by modifying it with a stainless pipe cap. We'll see.Aside from the drawbacks of only having 1 or 2 unimpressive lid options, I think this bottle has lots of potential. Especially since I suspect the ice retention will be on par with my Yeti/RTIC bottles.:::EDIT 8/6/16:::Ice retention test complete. My results were 106 hours for the last sliver of ice to melt. Pure insanity! This was performed on the 45oz Bigfoot. With those sorts of results, I can deal with a slightly less than ideal lid. Though, I would suggest the company to add beefier threads on both the bottle and the cap, add more revolutions to the threads on both, and to also make a low profile insulated cap, as this may add time to ice retention... not that anymore is needed at this point, but details.Given 10 stars rather than 5, I would rate this bottle at a 8.75, as it's so close to being sheer perfection by my standards. For me, volume is the first thing I look at, and this has the most without being bulky (even though it is quite tall). 2nd would be lid construction, and 3rd (in this category) would be ice retention. Aside from that, I would still say it's the best bottle on the market today, aside from the fact that you may or may not want to mess around finding a more ideal lid for your situation... which is where the missing stars come into play. If they followed through with the recommendations I made, I could totally see these bottles becoming extremely popular and their stock going through the roof.

Eco Vessel stands behind their product...!
The first two Bigfoots I purchased, we had issues with the black strap constantly breaking, resulting in Eco Vessel/Amazon replacing the black unit twice...the silver one I bought along with the black one had no issues. Upon contacting Eco Vessel's EXCELLENT customer service (thank you, Kevin!), they informed me that the compound used for the original plastic black straps was the culprit and have since been reformulated the plastic compound to address the breakage issue. It's been about two years since the strap issues and I've not had any issues with any of our Bigfoot bottles or their straps since. I even purchased backup straps/lids, but have yet to replace any of them since the black strap debacle (at least I have them just in case, but it's been two years now). I've purchased five other Bigfoot Eco Vessels as presents over the years, and they too reported no issues of strap breakage or any other issues even during heavy outdoor use and travel. They are also 5oz bigger/taller than the equivalent 40 oz Hydroflasks, which I appreciate, and the smaller drink spout & internal filter are distinct game changing advantages over the Hydroflask. Strap aside, the build quality has been excellent and I've never had an issue with leakage or stripped thread lid caps over two years of everyday usage.

Amazing bottle, definitely worth the price.
The best water bottle I've ever used. It's MASSIVE, and keeps your water cold for days. I've gone through three separate bottles, the first two of had the piece of plastic connecting the cap to the rest of the bottle break, which was rather annoying, made even more-so by the fact that I only use this water-bottle at home and it has faced no abuse. Keep that in mind, especially if you're going to be using this bottle out on hikes, and instead of attaching it to your backpack/gear by the plastic loop, it'd probably be much better to simply store it inside of something else. This bottle, like any other, also requires constant cleaning. I'd recommend leaving it uncleaned for two days MAX, and not letting any water sit in it if you're going to be leaving it unused for a few days. I've had mold issues with my first two bottles, even with fairly regular cleaning. I use the "OXO Good Grips Water Bottle Cleaning Set" available here on Amazon, and they've been really great. It's the perfect length, pretty cheap, and gets the job done well.If you're a huge water-drinker, love your water cold, and are tired of making 200 trips a day to your kitchen/always carrying around a water bottle that loses it's coldness after 20 minutes/etc, I highly, highly suggest you get this bottle. It's amazing for long road-trips, for lounging around the house, and even university, if you don't mind carrying around a bottle this size. They've also made improvement to the bottle over the years, as the first one I had had a cap made of the aluminum material pictured here on Amazon that had a small lip-opening. The most recent bottle, however, features a matte-black slightly textured metal with a much wider opening to easily allow for ice to be put in, without having to break it down first. I will update with pictures at a later time.*UPDATE* - Once again, the plastic strap connecting the cap to the main bottle has broken. Of all three of these I've owned, this issue has happened with each of them. It's not necessarily game-changing, but it is certainly irritating, and I hope that Eco Vessel continues to improve their product by making the plastic strap more durable, as it is incredibly brittle in its current state. I won't dock any stars as this doesn't affect the bottle itself in any way and I would still recommend it, but figured I should make note of it here.

Very pleased, no substantial issues
Solid build quality which does keep water cold for a least a day. I've had this for about 3 weeks now, and I believe I've solved the "leaking cap" issue that shows up in other reviews. While the body uses multiple layers of metal, the cap does not. So, when I throw it in my backpack, it inevitably falls on its side, and the cold water is now resting against a single layer of metal. On a hot and humid day, it does not take long for condensation to form on the outside of the cap. Also, if you're going to consume infused water, regularly check the cap for black spots. Or make it a point of washing the cap every few days.

Awesome Bottle
After having this bottle for about a year now it has held up to the test of time. I have used it for simply keeping close by at work for a quick drink to in my backpack while on an all day canoe trip. It keeps water cold for a long time. I have left the bottle in my car overnight (in the summer) and it is still cold the next day. Also get lots of compliments on it as well, apparently a lot of people want one. As an avid water drinker it is a must have
