🍇 Elevate Your Wine Game with the Mix-Stir Agitator Rod!
A mix-stir agitator rod makes aerating in a carboy a breeze. Simply attach the agitator rod to your drill and you are ready to go. The blades Fold up for easy insertion into any sized carboy (except 1/2 and 1 gallon sizes). de-gas your wine in a few minutes, or aerate your wort for a healthy fermentation. The mix-stir is very effective at de-gassing your wine and it should not be used for more than a few 10-15 second bursts. If you over-use the mix-stir you risk adding oxygen to your wine.

well made agitator rod
About 10 years ago I got one of these (same make and model) from my local homebrew supply store for aerating wort and cider before fermentation. It continues to work very well and I've now gotten a spare from Amazon because it's not as easy to find anymore, and I can have one in each of the two locations where I brew.

but is great in my wide mouth carboy
Doesn't work in a small opening, but is great in my wide mouth carboy! Really spins 7 Gal. around quickly and easily. Tilt it to the side and it mixes top to bottom. If you want it to be really clean will you will have to rinse it though.

Much more effective than a wine whip to degas.
Didn't have any problem fitting this into the neck of my glass carboy. Yes, it's tight, but that's the point. Small paddles would produce less agitation, which is contrary to its purpose. In fact, this agitates and mixes the liquid quite effectively. I used to degas my wine with a whip, which I attached to a cordless drill and would run for five minutes straight. With this rod, I can't run it for more than 10-20 seconds at a time. It degassed my wine much more efficiently and quickly. Just be cautious about using this agitator rod for too long, which can cause a whirlpool effect and create an overflow of your liquid out of your container.

This device worked as promised
The mixer was a very tight fit going in the glass carboy neck. I was worried going in that I would force it and it would break, I was MORE worried about drawing it back out that it would break and stay in the carboy. That didn't happen. I've used it plenty and it seems kinda' scary each time, but continues to work just great.

long enough for just about anything
I needed this one for it's length. My old one broke. This new one looks better built. A more higher quality item.Works like a charm.
