Good read but already in the complete short stories.
When buying short stories make sure you check if they appear in other versions. 'Men without women' is a wonderful book of short stories by Hemingway with his usual insight into human nature, in his unique and direct way, but all the stories appear in "The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway" so for those of you who already have this book. there will be nothing new.

Great, affordable book
Murakami mentioned this book in his writing and I thought it was a shame I never read it. I was happy to see this as a $1 Kindle read. Great, affordable book.

Not his best.
Short stories. Some of them so short that nothing happens. More like fragments of a story. If you need conflict and resolution in your stories, look elsewhere. But if you like stories that capture a moment in time, then this might be for you.

While not being able to put it down,
While not being able to put it down, I'm also aware of not being conscious enough a reader to appreciate yet the whole of his style

Terrible quality book, for such a famed writer!
Have to say the quality of the paper and binding in this book are sub standard. The opening few pages came unstuck the first time I opened the book. I wish I’d found a vintage copy somewhere and not bothered with this poor excuse for a book. Horrible.

Short stories and some have a punch
Maybe a mixed bag of value but I say that not being fully aware of the background to some of his stories but they are all immediate and all take you with them. The ones that are outstanding are intense and so well written the coils are around you and holding you before you realise it is uncomfortable.

Poor
Maybe it just aged badly but I didn’t think much to it. The characters were two dimensional at best.

exquisite
This book is a classic. Stories like these are the reason for the macho image of Hemingway. High quality literature in short story format is rarer and rarer these days but this is a shining example from a time when it was a flourishing artform
