Very effective
This works to keep animals off my plants, without causing any harm. They find it uncomfortable to step on. It can be cut to size with scissors and fixed to the ground with either stones, or metal pegs.

Good for wrapping around a tree
I needed something to stop my cat from escaping my garden. People have said they found it didn't lay flat as it came in a roll, which is a bit annoying. I ended up cutting mine into 2 inch strips and stapling it to the top of my fence and wrapped it around a tree trunk to stop his secondary escape route. Still watching him closely. The actual roll is sturdy and easy to cut into smaller pieces.
