Great game and educational fun so they don't know they are learning as they play
This works on both our Leappad Platinum & Leappad 3 tablets. The cards are not necessary once you have the code (inside the box) to download the game, which makes it nice if traveling they can just click on the card button in the game to scroll through the cards and choose them from the game. Someone was thinking, thank you LeapPad. My 4 year old navigates this game just as well as my 5 year old. I think he even knows more about TMNT than I do. Lol. If you have more than one tablet registered to your Leap Frog account, it will download to both tablets without buying additional copies of the game.

This game is so awesome! My son started playing it at three and now he is almost 3 1/2 and he totally gets almost all of the math games that you play between the fun levels. It promotes teamwork and techs problem solving as well as math. If you have a boy and a leap pad that this is compatible with... get it!!!!! I am using it on the epic. Oh and you don't need to use the cards because they are stored electronically in the game so you don't have to worry about losing one or if one gets destroyed by a toddler or animal.

Learn to love math and pizza
My 4 year old son loves this game. He is starting to pick up fractions and some other math problems. The only downside would be his constant requests for pepperoni pizza now.

The games for the upper age range are getting hard to locate for this system but this one is interactive (with the camera) and offers a change to the other formats available. The downfall is that the cards will be damaged and lost very soon!

Not that engaging for a 6 year old.
Really disappointed in these. Just not worth the money for us. My son looked at them. Was interested but put them aside and has ignored them since discovering that the app was not that exciting. I don't imagine buying more of these cards. May be more interesting for kids who enjoy card games, as there are instructions for a card game which requires no Leappad.

Great at helping with maths learning
Makes learning fun for my 6 year old, he doesn't see it as learning but as playing a computer game!

this is an absolutely amazing purchase! My twins are obsessed with ninja turtles
this is an absolutely amazing purchase! My twins are obsessed with ninja turtles, and this is a great way to get them learning while playing! there is a ninja turtles game, but in order to reach all the different levels they play learning games (ie math, matching etc) before they can advance to the "playing" part! the kids don't know that it is technically learning, they had a blast searching through all of their cards to find the right one to scan. My boys are 4 years old and this was age appropriate for them (they needed some help) and my 9 year old nephew also loved playing with it! the cards are sturdy, and the tin is so cute, the kids were prod to pack it up and carry it around. If by chance you lose cards, there is an option on the game to pick the cards on the screen instead, so that is great! All in All a fabulous purchase.

My son has learnt alot from this game!
I bought this for my 4 1/2 year old son because he had been asking for a ninja turtles game for ages. I was unsure if he would be able to play it yet because it's for age 5 and over but he was able to play it ok. He worked out how to play it himself with a little help from his 8year old sister. He can play the platform game very well and loves the part were he can take photos of himself with the turtles. He can do the fractions, which suprised me and can add and takeaway the toppings for the pizza. He can guide the turtles towards either all of the numbers or letters to follow a path so he can now recognise the difference between numbers and letters, if he makes a mistake Splinter talks to tell him the difference by highlighting the letters and saying "these are letters we use these to make words" and then highlighting the numbers and says something like "these are numbers we use these for counting how many". He can't do the adding numbers bit himself yet, it asks e.g "which two numbers added together make 10 ?" and you choose 2 numbers from the cards to make a sum, in this example 5 and 5 or 6 and 4 etc. He usually asks us for the answer but has memorised some of the answers so can answer some of them himself now. He also loves the quiz part were it asks you questions about the characters so for this part your child needs to have watched the tv programmes to know the answers, my son knows most of the answers. The only negative thing about this game for us is that because my son loves it so much he never wants to turn it off which sometimes leads to tantrums. We allow him 30mins to play it but on a few occasions he has played it for longer and has got very worked up and a bit obsessed with completing the level so we are now very strict and allow a maximum of 30 mins turtles time and if on some occasions he is allowed to play his leappad for a while longer he has to choose another game to play. I have marked it down a star for this reason and because none of his other leappad games get him worked up, which is why i love the leappad. This is always my sons first choice of game to play on his leappad and I love that he has learnt so much from it.

Excellent
Very good game my 3.5 year old loves to play. We help him at points but mostly he gets by on his own.
