Great product! Dogs love it!!!

I was using Great Lakes Gelatin for about 6 years. My dog was getting older and with 2 ‘knee’ replacements he had some arthritis. Great Lakes was recommended to me and much to my surprise their company is in my town. So after using it over 6 years I noticed a change in the product, the color was more yellow-ish than the off-white it had been. Also when I’d order through Amazon most times it came the same day. Then all the sudden I’m seeing it’s being delivered from Florida and taking 5+ days? Ok, I’m not a business person and I understand having distributors, but if it’s made here in Grayslake, IL and I live here…Anyway then one month instead of my usual Great Lakes Gelatin I received the above product Step Above Proteins. Nothing from the company saying “Hey! We’ve made some changes…”. If they were no longer going to be carrying pet gelatin they should say so. Not just replace it with a different brand. I wrote them several times and never really got a straight answer. Really disappointed. I like being able to support a small town company, but their customer service is lacking. I also get a collagen supplement from them and enrolled in the auto-ship. It came twice then stopped. Again, contacted them and was told my credit card changed. It hadn’t. There was plenty of money available, that wasn’t an issue. I got a “oh…sorry”.

I've been using this product to help my dog while she's been recovering from a strained iliopsoas. Her leg been bulking back up nicely, and she absolutely loves the flavor too.

Merlin has had terrible allergies for years. The first thing we tried was Benadryl. That seemed to work for a while but the itching eventually came back. Then we tried different shampoos - nothing. We read that spraying a 50:50 mixture of apple cider and water on the irritated areas would help so we tried that - again, nothing. We tried two different specialty dog foods and even started getting injections from our Vet. Nothing seemed to help.Our neighbor also has a doodle and she used to have the same problem. I asked her what she did to help Dash and she said she started giving her Step Above Proteins twice a day and the skin irritation simply went away. I was skeptical but I tried it anyway. In six weeks Nugget was cured! He hasn't had skin allergies for two years. His coat looks like it did when he was a puppy and he looks comfortable again.I can't recommend this product enough.

I'm a Labrador Retriever breeder for almost 20 years. All of my dogs and puppies (from conception) are on Step Above Proteins. We use as a preventive for health issues. How we found out about this product? We co-owned a dog with another breeder. This poor dog tore her ACL 80%. My Vet wanted us to do surgery ASAP. This would had been a very long recovery and painful too. Nuts and bolts for full repair. Cost of around $6,000.00 to $8,000.00 just for the surgery and another $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 for rehab. The other breeders talked me into trying Step Above Proteins. After 2 months of being on a double dose 2x a day. The dog went to see a vet specialist for another round of X-rays and MRI. This time nothing was there and i do mean NOTHING! No tare no scaring NOTHING! So I can say it does work. I have done myself with 2 other friends over 6 months of research on this product. This product is amazing. We purchased it a little over a week ago. My 9 year old dog is already back to normal. She had been limping for 3 weeks.
