Great value and adds a whole new level to flight simming
I am so pleased I bought this. It's not a full boxed version but it does appear to be the genuine article. To be honest, I was expecting a clone and I was half expecting to send it back. Glad I didn't as I saved a few quid over the full retail version. This does take a bit of settingup and tweaking to get it just right, but when you've done that it works brilliantly. There are a number of useful YouTube videos that explain exactly how to go about setting it up and I recommend watching these. One person's setup will differ from another person's, for the simple reason that people are different heights, have bigger or smaller heads etc etc. Therefore you can't simply copy someone else's settings. Also, you'll want to set these up independently for each game you want to use them with. I only use them for Microsoft Flight Simulator, but you can have multiple profiles.I have two gripes:1. The first is the reflector attachment that needs to be clipped to a baseball cap or headset. It isn't particularly gripping and so it can easily fall off if you scratch your head or move the cap. I lost mine for 24 hours and was struggling to find a replacement online. Luckily I found it under my desk.2. The receiver unit that sits on the monitor is rather flimsy. The two halves are connected by a magnet - but it's not very strong. I'm sure there is a reason for this weak connection, but I can't think of one!Neither gripe is worth dropping a point for.But in the end it's all about how much it adds to your experience. In my case I can't see myself going back. I don't feel the need for full VR yet (plus I have a lot of external hardware that I use with the sim - that might prove difficult with a VR headset on). To be honest, I get a pretty broad view with three monitors and TrackIR.Highly recommended.

Appears to be a genuine Track IR device
Received this today (18 hours after ordering)...I wasn't entirely sure what I would be getting, given it's branded 'aikeec', but I decided to take a punt as there's only a handful of places selling Track IR and they are usually out of stock. It's also about £35 cheaper than most retailers, and given it's shipped by Amazon, it arrives much faster as well. The unit is packaged in a small brown box with the TrackIR branding on it. Inside the box the camera was in a small plastic bag, with the camera itself having a protective sticker on the face... so it appears to be new.The reflective/vector clip is in two parts - I'm not 100% sure but I think the 'proper' retail version isn't in two parts... but whatever, it's the same otherwise.Other than that you just get a basic quick start guide printed on one bit of paper. The TrackIR software is free to download, and once you do, this works perfectly.I've used these before with the Track Clip Pro and it seems to work at least as well with the reflective/vector clip, so I'm not sure it's worth paying extra for the Clip. This also means you don't have the wire hanging from your headset, which can be a distraction.I suppose the only question with this is what happens if it breaks... I'm guessing there is no warranty.

Really good! Works perfectly
Works perfectly with the TrackIR software from the website, where it's recognised as a TrackIR 5. Seems like it's the legitimate TrackIR product, just not in the store plastic box, but in a small cardboard box with TrackIR on the front. If it's not the legitimate one, it certainly is an incredible copy, and works perfectly.

Does seem to be actual Track IR 5
Your probably like me, you been looking for track IR 5 for sometime and when searching and finding all the usual stuff sold out you then stumbled across the Aikeec branded one and also wondering why its so much cheaper to.You may have also been like me and and immediately have disregarded it as a option due to that very reason.Well recently I've been hunting for head tracking and due to a certain global pandemic and general scarity of flight sim items due to a recent simulator release I was on the hunt again for track IR and came back to this one.Now my usual buying process is: check the brand -> check the review number count -> check the reviews. So I saw not many reviews but this time I clicked into them to see to my surprise actual 4 and 5 star reviews for this off-branded track IR and to my surprise the positive comments and noting it did seem to be track IR 5.Anyway, I finally decided to say "well, its £126 (at time of purchase) and thats better than the usual 220-250 mark up price, lets give it a go, if its buggered amazon is good with returns. To my surprise, after recieving it in the post this morning it does infact seem to be a genuine track IR 5 product, infact i'd consider this, with it coming in a hard cardbox box and without much branding to be almost a OEM like edition of it.What comes in the box is as shown in the pictures on amazon. Camera, the camera mount (which is magnetic) and the two part IR reflector. As noted by another review its in two parts and I believe this has been done for packaging purposes, it hasn't created any weakpoint on the reflector part and it has a tab which pushes firm into a slot to keep it all aligned properly. You have a few options for mounting, the usual method is a baseball cap where it clips onto the rim, you could also place thin velcro strips on it to attack to a headphone if you use them and also possible on headphones with a relatively thin headband to clip the same way as it would on the baseball cap.I personally tried the cap method but I may use my headphone's band as they are studio headphones with a thin leather band. The camera magnetises from its base to a magnet on the 3 pronged holder, there is nothing wrong with the product for standard monitor which are generally flat backed but my Acer monitor has abit of a curved non-standard back to it so the camera didn't sit as well as it would, my 2nd monitor it works fine on which has your standard flat back so that should work for most people, I think my acer monitor just happens to be "breaking the mould" with its back design. Also a great thing to note, the IR camera does light up with green LEDS to note 1. your being tracked 2. your in a track IR compatible game, however if your like me and don't like LEDS shining at you there is both a option to switch off in the track IR software and also completely dim them down, which honestly surprised me worked as you think a off-brand one wouldn't have those working so it does convince me these are atleast genuine track IR 5s just not in fancy packaging. In regards to the software, it can be abit daunting at first but its relatively easy to navigate, I would recommend looking at some track IR 5 DCS World setup videos on youtube as they go into enough depth to both explain how to change options and setup the tracking's angles to make them move more e.g. I want to look back behind my aircraft I can adjust it so when I look to the side of my monitor that does the full 180 degrees rather than 90 default. The software has the ability to create multiple custom profiles so you can quite heavily adjust to your needs and you will need to make adjustments as camera position and sitting position requires fine adjustment to get it working smooth and natural feeling, it can work pretty well out of the box, if you follow the setup, but you still will want to custom to your own preferences otherwise you may get sore neck or headaches. Will it continue to work over months/years? Who knows, but for the most part it does seem to just be a non-branded OEM box version of track IR 5 and personally I don't mind paying the asking price when its alot less than what you could usually get it for and the fact it doesn't seem to present itself as a dodgy knockoff also convinces me it probably will last quite awhile. So I'll throw in my 5 star review to help others, if you were like me and put off by the brand name, then don't be, it works, the camera was protected and it just seems to be just unbranded box wise track IR 5 and its such a immersive experience ingame that its honestly hard not to recommend getting one, especially as the hardware is compatible with alot of simulators out there.

It works perfectly, but...
Head tracker works really good! I noticed though the USB port at the end of the cable is a bit loose and the tracking clip in the box is not the best (that's why I put 4/5). I suggest to buy also a tracking clip pro for better performances. In the end it worth the expenses!
