I am happy with this purchase. I bought this planter to put in my windowsill. It fits perfectly because it is long and narrow and only 5 inches high. There is no drainage hole on the bottom-it is a solid bottom. This would be useful for very narrow plants-anything with a large root base would over flow the edge (I think it only measures 2 inches wide) I like the wave pattern-it is on both sides. It is thick ceramic. It came wrapped and in its own box, so it was well packaged, no damage.
