DDP METZENBAUM Scissors 12" Curved Stainless Steel

These scissors have some heft to them. Excellent stainless steel and they are very sharp. I am using them to trim bromeliad buds!!

Works but wish it was sharper, for cutting plants in an aquarium.

I use them to deadhead flowers so I don’t have to bend over as far. They catch a little when I snip

I am a surgeon, so my standards for surgical scissors like this is very high. Good OR scissors might cost $200. These are cheap scissors modeled after the real thing, but at 1/10th the cost, they fall far short. The action is stiff, so you get almost no feel, control or precision with these. The blades, while sharp, are plane stainless steel, vs. carbide inserts on the real thing, so durability is doubtful.I will keep them around for a while at home, where I had intended to use them, but ultimately they are so clumsy that I'll probably just throw them away at some point.

These are a little heavier than I expected. I just needed tiny, but long-handled scissors to trim delicate aquarium plants. They are actual surgical scissors tough enough to cut small bones, but they do the trick. They are not fragile and will last forever.

Very well built with thick metal parts. Does the job very well.

what's the right word for this? They "caught" when being closed. Needed normal scissor closure.
