Worth a go ....

Well boxed and presented. Plenty of spare parts including plastic frame. Use both YouTube video and written pdf instructions to help put it together. It is fiddly in parts but that is part of fun. Mine came with batteries but you will need a battery charger for them ( buy after you get robot so you get correct charger) and a raspberry pi. Read and watch all instructions before you start and follow carefully. It is a well thought out robot with many servers fir kegs etc. I recommend...

Very good product

Its a very good product, but for beginners like myself it doesn't say in the description of the product that you need to buy a raspberry pi motherboard separate; the only way you find out is by downloading the instructions. I completely get I probably should have looked at the instructions before hand but it does mention that the batteries are not included in the description. But still other than that can't fault the actual product.

Very dissapointing!

Very dissapointing! When purchased, the listing did not specify needing extra parts. Now my son is extremely upset with a Christmas present he cannot use, as are we! Not worth the money as incomplete!

Not worth the high price tag

While it’s not a bad bit of kit there’s just no thought gone into it. The acrylic is brittle and the fasteners are tight to fit which could and did crack a few parts. Instructions are very vague not ideal for someone that’s not used to chinglish and could do with better descriptions of the parts. Getting the raspberry pi programmes wasn’t that much of a pain although it will not work if the camera’s not connected correctly also it pays to change the password if not it won’t connect. I m still working the bugs out on mine but first impressions aren’t great. Good camera though and I think the software has potential but for now i think I’ll try a few re designs and 3d print parts. Certainly not worth the price.

Build to build and learn as you go along but as the end product is a bit iffy

Purchased this to learn how to use a Raspberry Pi after my University Degree. The instructions were clear 80% of the time although some times the instructions are taken at such an angle where you cannot see what parts are needed. Other times the instructions were incorrect, one particular instance is setting up the lights to the front plate. It advises to screw with the flat against the plate and the pin into the lights, however, screwing in like this leaves the lights increadibly loose and will fall off during operation.Other than that, the robot was fairly easy to set up and took an afternoon to do.I set up the raspberry pi and wanted to test the program plugged into the mains rather than the battery to ensure it works and, oddly enough the pi kept crashing whist plugged in. With the battery in it works as expected during basic functions.I purchased some batteries for this and once got it running on batteries one of the biggest issues cropped up being the screws kept coming loose and had a few snap during operation. Luckily they gave a couple of spares but after 4-5 days my spares in the screws ran dry. Is there a way to purchase more spares? One big bonus I appreciate is that Adeept have a youtube playlist of tutorials that allow you to build the program yourself which has been fun to use.Pros: Easy to Set up, Fun to use and tons of possibility to learn about the Raspberry Pi, Linux and PythonCons: Initial program provided can be a bit convoluted and can cause problems with older Pis.Screws kept coming loose and breaking.Build Instructions are a bit unclear at times but it's only a few steps.Definitely looking forward to expanding on this.

Caution out dated and does not work

Caution I will almost gurantee you will not get this to work. It is not suitable for PI4B and as responsive as Adeept are I gave up despite understanding coding etc reasonabliy well. If you think you can write the code from the start then maybe but it may have been great 5 years a go but has not been kept up to date. upsetting christmas present and I would advise to avoid completely as you will spend hours and hours getting no where!
