Just as expected!
I recently purchased Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield to protect my outdoor furniture, and I’m incredibly impressed with the results! The two 10 oz cans provided more than enough coverage for all my cushions and fabric furniture. It was easy to apply, and I love how the spray went on evenly without any mess. After using it, I noticed a significant improvement in how my furniture repels water. A sudden rain shower left no stains or dampness behind, and the cushions dried quickly. The product has truly added a long-lasting layer of protection, perfect for the upcoming spring and summer seasons.I also appreciate the peace of mind knowing that my outdoor pieces are shielded from potential stains and moisture, keeping them looking fresh and clean. I’ll definitely be reapplying it as needed throughout the season!Highly recommend for anyone looking to protect outdoor fabric or even indoor upholstery. Great value and effective results!

Great Product!
Wish I had been using this stuff before. Certainly makes a difference with my light colored furniture and white headboard. We sprayed 2 coats on the barstools and let they air out in the garage overnight. There is a smell to it, but not offensive.

Stand Guard!
Great product. I have a great deal of African Cloth. Some I use as table cloths. This product makes beverage spill a nonissue. It also aids in keeping other spills/potential stains to a minimum concern. I will use this product on some of my winter garments. Also made of/from "African" designs.

Got a little overzealous and used two full cans on a single pair of pants!!
So I am writing this for the comedic value, the pants are still drying so I have no idea the result. The break of dawn was the only time I had to spray my new White Tommy Hilfiger pants and I was outside working in very low light. As a result I could not see how much product was being applied. I sprayed a whole can and for some ridiculous reason I figured a second can was needed. Do I emptied the whole second can into those Tommy's as well. I let them sit outside for about 6 hours to dry.. When I went outside to bring them in, the cold had been absorbed by all the Scotchguard and then I realized my mistake, because they were soaking wet. I brought them inside and they immediately stunk up the whole house, so they went back outside. I hung them up near a porch light and even the bugs wont come near the light. So here I am 24 hours later and they are no longer soaking wet, but they stink god awful. Surprisingly the texture and feel of the fabric has not changed. They are still obviously not completely dry based on the smell, could take another 24-48 hours to fully cure.My Tommy Hilfiger pants are now going to sink slower than the Titanic! I could be outside in a category 5 hurricane and my nuts will still be bone dry! There could be a tidal wave and an epic flood, everyone around me will be drowning, but I am going to just float by like a leaf on top of the water while looking like a Boss is my spotless white Tommy Hilfiger's... There is so much Scotchguard in my Tommy's, that after humanity is extinct and the world is covered in ice, Aliens are going to dig them up and study them as the last surviving remnant of human engineering. Then the intergalactic federation of planets are all going to be wearing reverse engineered Scotchguarded Tommy Hilfiger knockoffs for space uniforms... That is how much Scotchguard is now in my Tommy's!Word of advice, definitely do it outside and plan to let them sit outside for at least 24 hours, the fumes are strong. Also, I think the advertisement is a bit misleading, one 10oz can is about enough to do a full jacket OR a pair of pants. One can will do both a pair of shorts and T-shirt together. To get full protection I think this is the minimum, however don't do what I did, it is way overkill, unless you are planning on spraying it on your space suit to explore the Methane atmosphere of Venus on foot.

Repels water and doesn't show on fabric
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It works well. It will wear out/off eventually and needs to be re-applied. Plus it won't protect from a constant downpour for hours. But it will shield off a respectable amount of rain to get from the house to car; car to store; short walks, etc. It's possible that if I super saturated the material it would repel more rain for longer, but for my use, I did not find that necessary. Just a light to moderate spray is all I do.I use it for a denim cape my wife made me that I always take in inclement weather. Perfect. It leaves fabric breathable (think hot, humid southeast USA), and is not visible on fabric.

Need for a White couch
Definitely recommend for any light colored furniture pieces such as a couch, barstools or headboards. I have used this for all these items in my house and has saved me from spills and other stains. The smell is a bit strong. I recommend letting it air out. It’s easy to use. I would recommend going in with a couple of coats just to make sure it’s evenly distributed.
