What are the dimensions of the keyboard tray? How wide is it?

Wide enough for a standard-width keyboard. A Logitech WAVE I had sat on it without issue.

Are the keyboard and mouse trays attached? As shown in the picture? Some comments specified otherwise. I would like clarification before purchasing.

They have two models—one with keyboard and mouse together and one that is separate. Just tead all the descriptors and look over the product images well so you get the one you want.

does it flex easily when mousing or typing?

No, it does not flex when using the mouse or when typing. Very sturdy and adjustable to your preferences on positioning the mouse pad area and keyboard tray. I use mine when PC gaming and I have also used it when working from home.
