Out of the brands you can purchase at most gas stations and grocery stores Old Trapper is not bad. I prefer smaller local jerky brands but this kippered beef steak is worth it. It is not too expensive and is chunkier and softer than most beef jerky I have eaten. I'd buy it again as the spicy flavor is pretty balanced but I prefer jerky from Wild Bills, Bronco Billy, and Jurassic Jerky at the moment.

I got the peppered variety. It was well seasoned and easy to chew.

The beef steak strips tasted fine, but you can get better price per once just going with the trapper's choice jerky. It also tastes the same.

Not a person eating being a beef Jerry regularly this particular one is delicious. 2 big pieces in each package, great snack for hiking or camping.
