Bought this to digitize YEARS of film photos. Easy to use, good results.Anyone about my age (getting up there) has probably got boxes of envelopes containing old negatives from film cameras. I’ve been shooting only digital since about 2005, but still have TONS of old 35mm film negatives. You don’t want to toss them, after all, they are the moments of your life. Enter theDIGITNOW Digital Film and Slide Scanner! Good price and a capable way to digitize your memories so you can store them on DVDs or USB Flash Drives. I always store my photos in multiple places to counter storage failures. The build quality is basically plastic, but this does perform well. I like that it puts everything on a memory card that I can then add to whatever permanent storage method I choose.Yes, I recommend it, and yes I would definitely buy it again!

We have numerous negatives from years ago and no picture prints. We were able to convert these easily to digital format on the SD card then transfer to USB for each family member. Great product.I was unable to connect directly to laptop for transfer but still SD card worked perfectly. Would have been nice to have multiple trays of the same size while scanning you could prepare another tray.

The instructions on this product are VERY limited and the use is not intuitive. I had to watch 2 reviewers on YouTube to then try to figure out how to save pix to my computer without the SD card (which is not included). I managed to get about 8 slides onto my computer and then the machine crashed. It won’t even turn on. The 8 slides looked good and you can do a little editing on the box once you figure out what the heck you are doing and looking at. Now I have 2000 more slides to go. :-/ The website and customer service number included inside the box don’t work.

We purchased this product because I have received a WHOLE LOT of negatives, slides and pieces of 8 mm film from a distant relative who has passed. It's FABULOUS how simple and easy this item is to use, and to see long-forgotten people and places, to remember old times and memories, is just a wonderful thing to have in this life of uncertainty. Every slide brings back old memories and every negative is a treasure. We highly recommend this product as a simple, easy way to bring your negatives to life, to determine first which ones you want to have developed into larger photos before you spend the money, and second, to have the negatives on hand to review or show other relatives later on to see if they want the negatives for their collection.. We LOVE this product and have discovered this company has a lot of other interesting film-related products-so we'll be purchasing from this company again. Very happy and well worth the money.

Viewer itself is good for the price. However, the film strips get stuck EVERY time in the holder. You have to pull it out and manipulate the film each time before you can get it to slide through.Miss the return date or I would return it and buy a different one.

I'm taking our 35mm slides from their respective carousels and converting them to digital jpgs.My slides are the Kodak cardboard kind and I have to remove the holder and swap slides, so it's cumbersome. BUT...It works and is a great value!I did not buy a SIM card yet as I'm saving the files directly to my Chromebook via the usb cable it came with. My Chromebook doesn't have a SIM slot.I haven't needed to do any color adjusting but I have cropped the pictures after I downloaded them to my Chromebook.I really like this little box! Once you get the hang of how to use the little buttons, you get in a "groove" and the process just flows.Very happy with this scanner!
