Bought to supplement the built in camera on my MacBook. It works, certainly, and was plug-n-play. It doesn't tilt so I ended up removing the base and using blu-tack to attach to an external monitor. It's more telephoto than the built-in camera - my face almost fills the frame from 60-70cm away which is awkward because my face goes out of frame if I move too much during a meeting.Picture quality is good enough for meetings although there are a couple of bad spots on the picture. One is visible most of the time and looks like a spot on my chin, the other is only obvious on dark images. They don't make it unusable but I would have liked better from a £25 camera.The microphone works but I have been told it sounds like I am talking down a toilet roll tube so I don't use itAlso, not a problem with the camera as such but I ordered the red option then received a silver camera in a black mount.I barely used it after there months, finding one with a wider angle much easier to work with.

We ordered on the basis of the description and the picture of the product. For once, we ignored the 2½ star average rating. That was our mistake.It is a cheap product, with tacky materials. The manual focus is hard to use. The light responsiveness is poor. The picture quality is also poor. We should have paid more attention to the stated USB lead length since it is ridiculously short - too short. The clip is awful and doesn't have any spring action, nor any tightness you need to attach it in a stable manner. In addition, the product description is incorrect as well since the audio doesn't work through the USB but through a paired 3½mm stereo jack.So we went for a return. The Amazon standard return process and email were fine. But what do KCatsy do? I'd rather spend that than be £14.99 (i.e. 60% of £24.99 after 40% discount) out of pocket for a product I don't want and that I would be embarrassed to give away as a gift.In short, not a positive recommendation.......

I ordered this based on the low price and strength of the positive reviews it had - ignoring the negative reviews as these seemed to be based around slow delivery, which I didn't think were particularly relevant to the quality of the product.I can confirm that delivery is very slow on this item as it comes from China. I received this well outside the estimated delivery window, as a consequence I received this item for free - however it's still not been worth it for me.The audio quality on this is very poor. People in video conferences look at me blankly when they struggle to hear what I am saying, even with volume set to maximum.Moreover, the cable length is so short that it does not reach from my PC tower (below the desk) to the top of my screen. Consequently I am always framed in the video from the bottom corner, which makes it seem like I am not paying attention most of the time.I definitely would not recommend buying this.

I got this because it was available... It is also pretty cheap and came in about a week even though it was shipped from Shenzhen. The image is fine though focussing using the manual bezel is something you don't expect to do! The clip is not great so it does not sit very securely but if you get the position right and don't disturb it, this may not be a problem.

Arrived in a decent amount of time from the order date and earlier than predicted. The camera itself is not too bad for a basic camera for catch up's with friends and family. However the microphone is very poor quality, in order for myself to come through clearly to people I am talking to. I need to talk a little louder than normal speech volume and also lean closer to the camera unit itself, I had to be within a foot of the camera for it to pick me up clearly. I have also checked the settings on my PC and the mic sensitivity it set to max to pick me up. I've ended up having to purchase a separate mic to get the full benefit. A shame really as the image is pretty good value for money.

I brought this to use for video meetings. At first i thought that the camera had a very limited field of view, as when i tested it i could barely fit my face into the frame. However it turns out that a setting on my camera program (zoom) was forcing widescreen and cutting most of the view off. When i fixed this i was satisfied with the FOV. The video quality is acceptable in decent light, and the microphone works well. The monitor clip is a bit big for bezel-less monitors but this can be fixed by cutting a notch into the plastic to allow it perch out the way.

The picture is good but the method of holding it onto the top of the computer screen is not tight enough and the microphone is too quiet. Have to sit almost on top of the camera for people at zoom meetings to hear me.

This does the job well, the focus i adjusted manually. Be aware though that it gives quite a close-up view, I ideally need it further away, to get my head and shoulders into view, rather than an extreme close-u of my face!Also, the microphone is really sensitive. It works much better than a fancy new microphone that I bought, in terms of the volume level at least. However it does pick up other noises really well too e.g. from outside my window, traffic etc. Just something to be aware of if you are not in a very quiet room.
