WIMH28218 DUSTER,FEATHER,18"

This duster fell apart within the third use. Feathers were everywhere throughout my house until it finally just completely fell apart. Very disappointed.

I really liked it when I got it - but was soon disappointed! I paid a higher price to get a professional one - and it really did good- until all the feathers started to fall out after the 4th time I used it! I got a refund(they were very fast) but I now have to buy a duster! The quality wasn't good. But then again there is always a lemon in the bunch!

The picture shows a fluffy ostrich feather duster, which is what I thought it was.Wrong!What I got was a feather duster made from who knows what type of bird, but certainly not the fluffy dust-gathering ostrich feathers of the stock photo. The feathers are crisp and sharp edged, as if plucked from a shiny-backed duck. The feather duster I got only resembled the handle, and that's where the resemblance ended. The duster I received, which BTW is now out in my garage waiting for a garage sale, merely pushes dust around and makes the furniture look worse.Save your money. You might as well use a stiff restaurant napkin for all the good it does.Hmph!!

I almost didn't buy this duster due to some of the negative reviews, I thought for the price and some of the good reviews I'd try it.This duster is every bit of the picture posted and is as fluffy and works great, however some people cant grasp information due to size and description by reading and there for it doesn't meet their expectations, This duster is not a long or large feather duster it is just as it says an 18" duster not the 24" duster some prefer for high reach areas. I had delivery in 3 days with standard 3-5 day free delivery. PS 18" is over all length, the handle is 10" and feathers are 8" good luck with your purchase hope I was some help.

This feather duster is junk. First it came a strong chemical smell out of the box, but that's no biggie as lots of new products have this. Then I saw that it had hard clumps of what I can only think is ostrich poo that got through the cleaning process on a bunch of the feathers. It's hard and dark brown and crumbles into dust if you push on it hard enough, but won't rinse off with water. Whatever it is it's pretty gross. So after snipping away all the clumps of whatever it is, you're still left with a decent but not as fluffy feather duster. Now here's the kicker: The feathers started coming out on the first use. I wasn't swinging for the fences with this thing I was dusting a table and the feathers just started to fall out. A few feathers are bound to fall out on a new duster, but this was a lot. So I give a slight tug on a few other random feathers and they all came right out. Bad glue? Who knows. Horrible product any way you look at it.

We seem to have a problem finding a feather duster that doesn't loose the feathers when used, even though I used one of my two new dusters gingerly, some feathers still fell out, requiring me to rewire the feathers with craft wire to prevent future feather loss, I guess it was the wording (Professional Feather Duster) that made me expect a little more of this item.

This is a true ostrich feather duster (as advertised). It picks up dust so it can be shaken outside and not just "pushing" the dust around your home. This is what make a Ostrich feather duster a true feather duster. You must "prepare" the duster before using. I know this sounds funny, but do it. Go to FlyLady (Flylady.com) and she will show you how to prepare the duster for using. I suspect other websites will show you the same information. If this is done it will work perfectly.

I purchased two of these and glad we did. The dusting process is so much easier with something like this. The feathers aren't as soft as I would like but it is still well worth the price. I would purchase this item again
