Best one I've tried
Alright, I've recently discovered VR as it pertains to mobile phones, and having tried 3 different headsets, I think I have a grip on what they are all about. You may have noticed that there are dozens of different headsets. How do you pick one? There's one thing that I can tell you almost certainly: most of these are glorified Google Cardboards. Cardboard is a good intro. Then you want to find one that is a little more... more... maybe not made out of cardboard. They're all lightweight plastic face-boxes that hold your phone and contain some zoom lenses. They'll all do basically the same thing with varying degrees of proficiency; there are a few things you might want to specifically look out for.1) Adjustments - can you move the phone or lenses back and forth from the phone? Can you adjust the lenses closer together and farther apartThis headset: yes. Great adjustability.2) Phone placement - will it hold your phone? Hold it steady? Is it a hassle to remove? This headset: the phone mounts on the cover, which is fantastic because how many times have you needed to remove your phone to interact with it and then have to strap it back in? The mechanism that holds it in grips the sides and holds your device steady and centered. Need to get to the screen? Just flip the front door open.3) Optics - clear/sharp?This headset: the lenses are not the best I've seen, but they are still very good and the other pros on this headset make up for it.4) Weight/comfortThis headset: the vinyl-padded area that contacts with your face is quite comfortable. I recently reviewed another headset (Habor) that didn't fit well at all. The nose cutaway is big enough, and the vinyl encloses all the way around. Better immersion than others I've tried.Another thing I like about this headset is that there are cutouts for your headphone cable; which seems like a no-brainer but I guess it isn't.Overall, I'm comfortable with keeping this one. VR tech appears to be gaining steam, and if you're going to try it out with your phone, this is a great place to start.

As an entry-level 3d VR set it's pretty remarkable. It fits comfortably on the head and my iPhone 6S snaps in snugly - those using the Plus versions likely want the white version, which is slightly larger. Most likely you'll need to remove your phone from its case, although my case is really thin so it actually works. My only complaint is that you'll likely need some type of bluetooth controller since the phone's buttons are inaccessible when the frame is closed. I have an HDMX bluetooth headphone set which gives me a few controls but it's not ideal for gaming apps.Overall, for the $20 price I paid, I'm incredibly happy with it.

Not Impressed
Just received and I am not impressed but then again it was $30 bucks. Headband very uncomfortable and the image does not fill your field of view Light leaks in around the unit when you adjust for your eyes. Instructions are absolutely horrible. Asked to scan a QR code that does not exist and download 3D resource App that does not seem to exist. Biggest problem is the field of vision is not good. You can see a lot of "stuff around the image that is part of the unit. Most likely will be sending this one back for credit. I guess you really do get what you pay for. A soft tip pen is included with no mention as to what it is for. I suppose everyone buying this product has to just know how to use this out of the box. Big Thumbs down!

Great headset!!
It feels pretty high quality in terms of the materials and the build of the headset. The box looks nothing like that though. There was no QR code or anything, it was just a black box with a picture of the headset. They do get a bit heavy after a while of use, but they are comfortable and fully adjustable. I only wish there were more VR apps to use with this great headset. The stylus is basic, it's free so try not to expect too much, but it gets the job done.Overall, happy with the purchase. Just waiting for more apps to come out.

Poor design if your using Samsung Galaxys
Poor design when using Samsung Galaxy Note 4. All though it states that it works for the note 4 the clamp that hold the phone does not. When clamped down on phone the clamps press the volume and power buttons. I would assume this would be the case on most Galaxy phones. The lens adjustments were good but the lens themselves were small and constant adjustment is needed. I have a pair that have fixed lens andit works better than these. The magnets that hold the outer part dont hold to well and my phone feel out of them several times looking down.Lucky I was seated and not standing or my Note 4 may have been damaged. My other VR headset do not open all the way like these which prevents that from happening. There are many poor design flaws with this headset and I do not recommend to anyone using a Samsung Galaxy S4 or Note 4 or higher.I do like that you can remove the front face and use apps that turn camera into modified vision like Jarvis VR app. Other than that I would pass on this VR headset and get one with out so many flaws and possibilities of phone breaking from falling out of headset.

The magnets are pretty good but I have managed to accidentally pop them open when turning. Overall the headset is very nice and comfortable. It does fit an iPhone 6+ (just barely). It lacks a VR QR code on it or on any packaging which all the VR apps ask for. The code does exist online so you can find it. It is cheap and has so far survived throwing and abuse from my 5 and 2 year old. The phone does slide a little left to right which is slightly annoying but not a deal breaker.

OK for price but not Cardboard-ready
Not happy with the fact that it has no button for interaction, and therefore not compatible out of the box with Google Cardboard. I would have assumed that, at this point, any smartphone VR headset would be Cardboard-compatible. On the upside, I have quite severe nearsightedness (20/200) but was able to adjust the lenses enough to function adequately without my glasses or contacts. It's also pretty comfortable. But without any way to control the phone display or interact with the phone, I had constant problems getting videos centered properly and could not play any games.
