This is a fun game for the whole family to play
This is a fun game for the whole family to play. My children especially love to play the songs that they hear on the radio. The only downside to this game is that you must purchase extra content if you want to add to your song data base. Other than that it's a great family night game that's age appropriate for children, and with 4 different options on instrument/voice, it's fun to change it up.

Great game but released unfinished.
I really do enjoy Rock Band 4, however, this game was rushed out the door unfinished. Which shipping delays and adapter issues, plus promises that still havent been met, I cannot give this game a perfect score. The game itself is fun. And once you tinker with everything, it does work. However, we were supposed to have access to all our previous dlc. This is not true. I have access to about 80% which a lot of tracks still buggy or unable to download for whatever reason on the store. We were also supposed to have access to our previous Rock Band 1, 2 and 3 library along with the other games. You still cannot access those songs. They did however let you download your Green Day tracks if you had the license for it.No surround sound support. This really aggravates anyone who is an audiophile. We had the option in previous games but not this one. It doesn't make any sense. They did state they were going to patch it in sometime in November. Again another unfinished feature. There are tons of other issues you can read about on the other posts. It is still a good game if you like the genre.

My disappointment is with Rock Band 4 itself
It does its job very well, which is to connect old guitars and drums to the new console. However, it was not clear to me that although you can connect many devices, you can only connect with one xbox account. So if you only have old hardware, and each player wants to use their own account, this is not possible (except for vocals, which doesn't need special hardware). I wonder if I can buy another one of these, and connect one for each account... Anyway, the product did not claim to be able to do this, so I give it 5 stars. My disappointment is with Rock Band 4 itself.

Fun, but very disappointing.
I have owned every Rock Band. I bought the original bundle the day it came out in 2007 or whatever it was. This so far has been very disappointing. I bought this bundle because the description said it would work with old instruments. It only works with old WIRELESS instruments. Now you could say that I should have noticed that in the description, but under the part that talks about the adaptor, it says that it works with your Wireless or Wired mics. So I took that as the adaptor has a plugin for old wired instruments. It does not. Why they mention the wired mic in the description of the adaptor, I don't know. So I took this back, and bought the wireless guitar bundle from bestbuy. Also, my friend bought the complete band bundle. We had 2 guitars going, and every other song we'd have to pull the batteries because the guitars would not stay connected to the game or xbox.I've been a big Rock Band fan, but this effort was rushed. On top of that you can't import your old songs yet. I realize in the future you will be able to, but why its not available now I do not know. It takes away from the fun because the on disc songs, are probably the weakest of the 4 games.

Only a partial game at release...
Pros:Legacy DLC. All of your old songs from RB for 360 will port over (except disc exports, which are likely coming in an update).Legacy Instruments. Many of your 360, wireless instruments will work through the USB adapter. This was great for me because I have some old guitars that I have become very accustomed to.Soundtrack. Fun, albeit mostly unknown songs.Cons:No online band multiplayer at launch. I bought this game expecting this feature, which had been present on Xbox 360 for years. To my surprise, Harmonix left this out, allegedly "prioritizing" other more important features. This is an unacceptable oversight.Clunky, time consuming legacy DLC process. While I'm glad that this was a feature, it took me nearly 3 hours to download all of the songs (about 1,000) that I had on my 360.No note streaks. Again, this will allegedly be available with future updates, but why remove a statistic that has been present for so many years? This is another no brainer.Soundtrack. Sure, U2 and Van Halen have made their way to Rock Band, but what about these other songs? Some are REALLY fun, but unknown. This makes vocals and band play really difficult.Bottom Line:All in all, this feels like half a game. I cannot in good conscience rate this game any higher a rating because of its lack of critical features and functionality. Harmonix rushed this release and attempted to save money by not developing those features, which it will now add piecemeal via updates. That is unfair to consumers, and they should be ashamed to have left so much on the table.November 2015 Update: Fixed some sound issues.December 2015 Update: Added note streaks and full combo confirmation features to the game via update. The note streak point in my review is therefore rendered moot; however, I don't understand how the game could be shipped without this basic feature. Harmonix also added brutal mode and some social features which compare your scores to those of your friends. They also added variable breakneck speed, which is a nice touch because you can vary how fast you want the notes to come down the chart. Still no word regarding online band play!February 2016 Update: Harmonix added brutal mode, which is an interesting addition, but the game remains largely a stripped down shadow of its past glory. There are still numerous legacy DLC problems, including some heavy hitters (all of my songs by The Doors are broken, and Harmonix's response was that they are "working with Microsoft" and will contact me if they need anything else.) There has also been no information released on Live enabled multiplayer, which is perhaps the single biggest missing feature in this game. Harmonix allegedly intends to add this feature eventually, but I am concerned that after a failed launch, Harmonix and Mad Catz may decide to move on to other endeavors.March 2016: HMX is not crowdfunding for a PC version of Rock Band 4, asking for $1.5 million, rather than working on the necessary features that it left out of console versions.More updates to come.

Nice game.
I love this. The adapter syncs with all my Xbox 360 guitars and drums. Wish we didn't need it though.

works very well as intended/described. However, make sure your instruments still works before buying it. Mine is so worn out that freestyle solo is almost unplayable.
