Test try didn’t go the best. Plan to retry this weekend.
So I did a test strand to my already teal colored hair to some spots that are fading to a gross green color and left it on for the amount of time it says “15 minutes.” I see no difference. I have read some of the reviews and have been recommended to leave on for over 2+ hours or even overnight. One thing I will say is that everyone keeps saying it smells like bubblegum…IT DOES NOT! Mine smells like ketchup and it’s horrible! That vinegar smell was killing me and I was terrified it would ruin my biolage smelling hair with that ketchup smell. Did I get a bad product or what?!

Best color for hair that's been through alot
This product used to be sold at Sally's Beauty but was discontinued. Everyone is different when it comes to compatibility and hair dye. This color sticks to my hair type. Just hoping they bring back Fiery fushia!

HONESTLY THOUGH
Honestly though, this hair dye is THE best unnatural hair dye I have ever used. I am coming up on almost a year with teal hair and I have only touched the roots up twice, tips once. I waited to do a review for this long intentionally. In timeline order, the pictures are as followed:The darkest pictures there are from literally minutes ago. I have attached two so you can see my roots and how it has faded. The one with me wearing makeup was Halloween day. I had touched up the roots and tips both on the first of October. The one where my hair is still damp is minutes after rinsing it out THE VERY FIRST time after putting it in.I have fairly thick hair so I purchased two bottles just in case. I bleached my hair three times over the course of half a year, gearing up for this dye. By the time I dyed it teal, my hair color was a very soft, subtle orange since my hair color is naturally dark brown, almost black. When I popped open the bottle of dye and started applying, I was a bit worried at first because the dye was a super dark navy color but it didn't take long to see the color changing. How long I waited to rinse it is drastically different than what the bottle directs you to do. If I am remembering correctly, the bottle says to leave it in for 15-20 minutes. I, however, never listen. Being that this dye is much less harsher than most other hair dyes, I stuck a shower cap on and went to bed with it in. Total time in my hair was pushing 11 hours. I rinsed in the morning, in VERY cold water, before going to work. I still noticed some bleeding out as I was getting out of the shower but that was to be expected. After almost a whole year of having it in, there is literally only one con I have. Be careful about towels and pillows/pillowcases. I didn't see any bleeding out on my clothing but noticed a lot with the listed items. I fought that a couple different ways: I only used dark/older towels to dry my hair. I also bought a teal pillowcase and used older pillows. It was a simple change, didn't take much so it wasn't a problem for me!

Smells like bubble gum and last 3 months hair color
I use to buy this product at sally’s beauty but they discontinued it. As long you don’t shower warm or hot while rinsing your hair it’ll last the color longer. I would recommend rinse your hair with cold water and color lasting conditioner & shampoo. Perfect results. Highly recommend

Very intense color
This is a very powerful and intense dye. You don't need a lot of the product for the color to come through. I wonder if this is actually a concentrated formula that needs conditioner to "water it down" in a way.

I’m a professional stylist and this is great color!
I’m a professional stylist and this color is just as good if not better than anything I can purchase professionally. This color will stain your skin so be sure to wear gloves and apply vasoline around your hairline and to whatever you don’t want colored. This is Semi permanent so you don’t need a developer. I have found this last longer than most so called permanent hair colors. Be sure to choose the color you want because that’s the color you’ll end up with if your hair is prelightened. I used twisted teal and it is TEAL BRIGHT TEAL. If you’re unsure about the color and how bright it is do a strand test If you find the color is a bit bright for you add it to conditioner, you will need a little water as well. Shake up the color conditioner, and water until mixed well. If you’re using this method I’d probably leave it on wet freshly shampooed hair for 2+ hours with a shower cap. To make sure you’ve reached the level of color you want do a strand rinse test, if it’s not the color you want leave it on longer or add more color to the conditioner mix. This color is very pigmented and will last a good 2* months with normal washing and a good sulfate, paraben free shampoo. A low poo shampoo works best on color treated hair.If you want to remove the color buy some vitamin C powder and add equal amounts of it to a harsh shampoo like Prell or Head and shoulders apple scent. Leave on for 30-45 min rinse repeat if you want more color taken out. Also rinse hair with cold water after coloring. This will help lock in the color.

Amazing colour
I love how wild this colour turned out. My hair is naturally dark blonde and wasn't previously lightened

Twisted Teal
Really love this hair dye, came out a wonderful colour, which stayed about three weeks, it than faded to a green (alpiney kinda colour) which did not fade at all, I have since dyed over it with a dark blue, which mixed well so is now a teal colour again :-) definitely recommend this product, but be warned; it gets everywhere and it has proper staying power :-)
