An excellent primer
An excellent primer for, as the title implies, any and every new seeker of Paganism. I've always felt enthralled by the Greek pantheon (thanks, Hercules and Xena), but only recently felt drawn to start wearing both a triquetra and amethyst crystal nearly 24/7. Sebastiani goes through a high-level overview of how modern Paganism has come to be, the tools and symbols and rituals associated with the major traditions, and a starter list of resources to continue your journey into Paganism if you so desire. I'm very much looking forward to continuing my own spiritual journey with this newfound knowledge as my foundation.

The Beginners Guide I Wish I Had
This book is exactly what it promises to be. Sebastiani paints with a broad brush around all the intricacies of the modern Pagan movement to present newcomers with as sturdy a base as possible from which to build their personal spiritual practice. True, in speaking so broadly on a many-faceted religious movement comprised of differing traditions you run the risk of OVERgeneralizing, but it's made clear throughout that navigating such diversity and coming to the spiritual table with a mind open to varying paths is a part of the process, not the end of it. In fact, it's the deliberate emphasis on beginning and expectation that this is hardly the last book you'll read onPaganism that gives this book its value; Sebastiani provides resources and a compass forward, expecting you to keep moving down your spiritual path with intention long after finishing this read. Having been part of the Pagan community for about a decade now, I love seeing her cut through widely accepted hokum with casual grace. I wish this is a book I'd found when I was first stepping down a Pagan path, and I'm grateful it exists now for today's newbies to relish.

Engaging and very well written
This is the first book on pagan spirituality that I have read. I chose it because of the reviews and I'm really glad I did! It is very well organized, easy to understand, and at just the right level of detail for someone new to the path. The author writes from a perspective of inclusiveness and kindness, which I really appreciated. I definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a high-level survey of modern paganism.

Informative
Before I read this I didn't know what exactly a pagan was. I grew up in church but I have always been curious about other religions and beliefs and this book answered quite a few questions. I now have a better understanding and enjoyed learning that there are other options.

Amazing book full of knowledge and guidance
I have been looking into several non Abrahamic religions for a while now. I have been an athiest for years and thought at the very least I could get some new knowledge on other religions. However I feel as though Paganism has been waiting for me and all I needed was a book like this to explain ideas that I already had as well as ideas that I needed help understanding. This book is perfect for someone who knows next to nothing about Paganism; and is open minded enough to seek answers that aren't black and white. The world is complex but this book has helped me find a new way of life that I think will positively affect me for the long term and help me on my journey through life. I still have much learning to do but what a great and inclusive jumping off point.

Inclusive book on Paganism
This is a great book for those new to Paganism who want a place to start, or Pagans who want more representation and diversity in their books. Althaea does a great job of introducing Paganism, and why people come to this religious movement without giving a correspondence/laundry list of things to buy. This book is not going to tell you how to be Pagan. Instead, it covers the wide variety of Pagan beliefs, explains core values, and encouages you to learn more and find out what works for you. But what really sets this book apart is Althaea's attention to representation. There is a whole section on rites of passage where this really shines through. Her language includes everyone on the LGTBQ+ spectrum, and that is not anything I've seen in books like this before. Even if you don't consider yourself a beginner, this is a great book to read.
