Black Venus Rice Organic, 500g, Packaging may vary

I love this. Yes it's expensive, but a little goes a long way. It's much more filling than white or even brown rice, but not heavy. It really is so tasty, even by it's self. It's so healthy as well. It takes a long time to cook, but no more than brown rice does. It has a lovely chewy texture. I'm addicted. I soak it for a couple of hours before cooking, which makes it a bit quicker to cook. I could happily eat this everyday.

I bought this because I wanted my teen son to experience the horror of having mouse droppings in his room. I eagerly awaited the delivery, soaked the rice a bit to make it a bit soggy and left little bits of it around his room. Near the bin, near the socks and underwear, near the rubbish that hadn't made it to the bin. He didn't even notice and wasn't bothered at all. As rice though, it's nice.

needs more cooking time, I used a rice cooker, will use sauspan next good flavor good cheweyness

Okay, it’s rice and it’s black and it makes salmon and other fish dishes look spectacular on the plate

Cook this black rice and taste good. Aroma is like black glutinous rice. Also is better than brown rice. Worth the buy. Stomach do not feel bloated unlike white rice.
