Ariens Front Weight Kit for Snow Blowers

My Airens 1332LE was not on the list of compatible blowers, but I ordered 2 bars thinking I could drill the holes if necessary. The blower hood was predrilled, and to my surprise the bars (which are provided with 2 holes at each end to fit different sized blowers) fit perfectly. The predrilled holes in the blower are 5/16", and the holes in the bars larger, maybe 3/8 or 1/2". The kit includes 2 flange washers which downsize the hole in the bar to fit the 5/16" bolts provided, which also fit the holes in the blower. The fit of everything is perfect. I put one bar inside the canopy, and one on top. The supplied 5/16 bolts fit through the inside bar, blower canopy, and outside bar with plenty of room left for a washer and the locking nut. The nuts in the kit are "locking nuts". These are not typical nylon insert nuts. They can only be threaded on about 2 turns by hand, and the rest of the way with a wrench. Should be semipermanent installation with no risk of vibrating the nuts loose. The increased from weight should help the tendency of this 13.5hp blower to climb up the snow, rather than stay on the surface. Five minute installation without assistance, clamps etc. Wish I had these for the last 12 years!!

Yes... It's pricey for a piece of orange metal but it fits well and is out of sight. Installed one on my 921053 blower, have a second on the way should I want it.First real snowfall here in WI was a heavy kind. Blower was too powerful as it wanted to ride right up everything. Lifting up on the handles helped.... Which leads to needing front weight. Blower is great BTW, ntl.This should help, second one will go on if needed. Price recently went up due to stock(after I ordered) , do shop accordingly. Install was a no brainer and 5 minute job. Use a socket and wrench.

My snowblower is 10 years old and when I was younger I didn’t mind if my snowblower jumped a bit I could handle it, then I saw a video with this weight on the front and you know the snowblower doesn’t jump any more and actually rides smoothly, I should have bought this years ago

Hoping this will keep the front of my Ariens down! Super easy installation, just 2 bolts and you are done.

Bought one straight from the Ariens website that was cheaper and had a higher quality finish. I suspect they are selling blemished parts
