Altai Treasure Seeker 1 Starter Metal Detector

Bought these for children for Xmas to try and get them out of the house. We live near a beach so looking forward to testing them out when the weather is nicer. They feel sturdy and has an extendable handle for different sizes. No need to charge them, they take 6 AA batteries which for makes life easier

Bought for our 5 year old - he saw one on YouTube - he loves it - we bury change in the garden - he thinks he is a treasure hunter!

It is what it says I suppose but is not much use for finding anything it is just a toy and would probably cause disappointment even as a toy. We ditched it and bought a proper one. Pay a bit more if you want to seriously try and find any thing under sand or soil. This just doesn't do it.

I had to send this back as the polarity seemed to be reversed. It beeped all the time UNTIL it came near metal. Bought for 7 year old with adult supervision but was a bit of a damp squid and a waste of holiday time. Oops I think I meant damp SQUIB - I was in seaside mode.

this would be OK for a child ,it's a bit too lightweight

My son loved this for xmas. The only disappointment was his finds on the beach were old cans :)

Absolute rubbish. Put your money towards something a bit better.

Bought for my granddaughter aged 9years, works well and she is very pleased with it.

Great value for money

Very well received by our grandson - aged 7 - when given to him as a birthday present.

Although aimed at children using these they are pretty rubbish. Save some money and then get your child one that's better than this! Picks up nothing unless it is sitting on it and the disappointment from my children was very obvious. Don't buy this sort.

sent for this metal detector for are grandson what a waste of money he is 7yrs old took it outside it just makes a loud noise didn't detect anything even when we put a pound coin in the ground we have now returned it
