Work great! Bright and Low Energy Consumption!
Installed in motion fixture on garage. Bulbs warm up in 2 minutes or less and that is on a cold night. Lights up the driveway much better than the old 90 watt incandescent bulbs that were in there for much less energy usage. Excellent build quality on these bulbs, actual glass covering them. Weigh like a pound each!I definitely recommend these over the GE equivalent bulbs. Tried the GE bulbs and they flickered and took forever to warm up. Also very cheap feeling.

problems with these bulbs
Two bulbs in my package. The first bulb only gave off a dim pink light, then slowly got brighter over the next ten minutes, but never reached full brightness. The second bulb didn't work at all. I tried them in two different sockets just to make sure there wasn't some electrical problem on my end. I replaced them with another brand that worked fine.

Slow to Light Up, But Bright - Great for Kitchen
My house has over 2 dozen downlights, and I've been slowly replacing the incandescent bulbs with LED PAR38 bulbs, LED retrofits, and CFLs. These lights are a good compromise right now (late 2012) for work areas like kitchens. The LED retrofit lights don't have the same brightness (lumens) as these, at least not the low-cost ones in the orange big box stores. The Philips LED PAR38 bulbs look really nice (the color temperature is not cold, though it isn't quite as warm as incandescents) and are bright enough, but they are a *lot* more expensive than these and use almost as much power. After trying and ditching (for now) LEDs in my kitchen, I put these lights in. They use about half the power as the old incandescent bulbs they replaced. They don't cost much. They should last a 3-4 times longer than the incandescents. The main drawback is that they are dim when first turned on, and brighten pretty slowly. You don't want these in a place where you'll be turning the lights on and off repeatedly--like a hallway--or a place where you want light instantly--like an entryway. I think, though, that they are nice and bright and work well in the kitchen, where we tend to leave the lights on most of the day.

Best dimming energy saver
I needed a new light bulb for my basement high hats. I was afraid the lighting for energy savers was going to be horrible, but I am very happy to say I love the lighting of these bulbs. It has an illusion of real daylight lighting which is great in a basement. It was very hard to find energy savers that were for dimmer switches and I finally found the right one. I am very please with the money I will be saving. I'm am buying more of these in the future to replace the rest of my bulbs.

Mfr defect or shipping problem?
One bulb is shining outside my window. It takes awhile to get bright, as is typical of CFLs, but so far so good. The bulb has not yet experienced the depths of a midwestern winter, which will be the true test for me of its longevity. The other bulb flickered the first time I turned it on, then died. When I checked it, the bulb inside was broken. (These are essentially spiral style CFLs encased in a more traditional outdoor flood, so it is like a filament breaking; unless you are specifically looking for it, you don't really know it is broken until you try to turn it on.) So, it is not clear to me whether it arrived broken due to shipping or if it broke on first switch, which would be a manufacturing defect. It did not get installed in the first 30 days after I received it, as it was going 25 feet in the air and I don't love ladders, so returning it was not an option.

Good color and long life
As a contractor, I must avoid call-backs. These bulbs work well with all my outdoor and indoor fixtures. Note that they are NOT dimmable and so will not work with the type of motion light that has the "dual-bright" function. They last years, are a beautiful clean color (not blue or yellow) and readily replace the old par flood bulbs (halogen or incandescent) for energy savings and long life. My customers love them in outdoor flood lights and indoor recessed fixtures. We love that I have consistency throughout the home, instead of 4 different types of bulbs.

works very well lighting up the yard.
I got these cfl floods to save my self money by not getting an hps wallpack, I was afraid they would be damaged during shipping but they arrived in perfect condition, I give much of the credit to some excellent packaging, bubble wrapped, the flood lights will warm up in about 30 seconds, but generate a good amount of light, for a small yard 25'x25'

Bulbs burned out in 5 weeks
Ordered these bulbs to replace a couple of the 8 outdoor flood lights surrounding the house. The bulbs I've purchased at Lowes usually last 3-4 years without replacing, but these burnedout after only 5 weeks! Totally unacceptable, but way too much of a hassle to return. Should have just gone to my local Lowes.
