Best pate my cats have eaten
I have 2 cats who are very picky eaters. As soon as i opened this, they started screaming for me to fill there bowls. Hell they almost grabbed it out my hands. Really quality ingredients, grain free and full of nutrients. My cats approve therefore i approve

No sickness or diarrhoea eating this food
I have a young siamese girl who was struggling with the food the other cats were eating, resulting in very messy litter, sickness and a vet bill for antibiotics for her sensitive stomach. I changed her food over to scrumbles and she is so happy and healthy now, perfect poos, no sickness and now a very happy playful girl again. The price is something i'm going to have to live with however, so I have knocked a star off for that, it is expensive!

Cats love it.Senior cat finds easier digest
I purchased a few pots of these when was do supermarket shop as were on offer and my cats loved them,so despite fact I have more cat food than most pet stores 🙈😂 ( included photo of 1 of cat food shelves) I had to order more. They do 3 varieties but I chose salmon and tuna as my cats prefer fish, although I’m going to order chicken today just for variety. It arrives in slim branded cardboard box that opens at end so can store in box and easily remove. Each pk is in small plastic bowl with pull off foil lid, “I reuse plastic bowls for reptiles and in roach and locusts feeder tanks”.The food is a pate type texture with a layer of juice and my senior cats both rush for bowl at feeding time.I have a 19yr old cat a year into cancer diagnosis and she seems to find this much easier to digest her poop is softer but not runny. Its high meat/fish content and grain free. Its not cheap food but it’s good value as I’ve not had to throw old contents of food bowls as they both eat every bit 😋.Doesnt have that overpowering cat food smell that makes me heave actually smells quite pleasant.Should be given alongside regular food and amount increased daily as with introducing cats to any new food there is guideline in listing on how to introduce but I just gave half/half for few days then replaced senior cats food completely as she was ignore old food 😂 .Give it a go if cats anything like mine be extra purrs and head rubs at meal time 🥰 I’ve read other reviews that mentions food has to be mashed up which is time consuming? I wouldn’t say have to mash ,you just break it up as is pate anyway but I do this with all foods, my male who is younger at 14 does actually try to take chunks out before get to it with fork 😂.You do have break up but it takes seconds and maybe because cats are seniors I do this anyway but I’m sure I did when younger too?

My cats didn't like it. Licked it and walked away. Probably just my fussy kitties, others may love it.

Handy for food allergies
One of my cats has loads of food allergies, which meant that her diet was heavily restricted from diagnosis around 8 years ago. Since those dark days when there was only one food available from the vet, many alternatives have come onto the market that list all ingredients and avoid those horrible generics such as meat and meat derivatives, fish and fish derivatives etc. These little plastic pots by Scrumbles are the latest Portia has tested and her initial reaction has been sufficient for me to put an order in for all varieties. Her first bowl of the chicken version was polished off in very short order, with a vigour that’s is normally only reserved for chicken breast or steamed cod and then only occasionally. It is a pate style, a little like gourmet gold, and with a small amount of liquid gravy, so easy for an elderly cat to eat.The chicken pots contain 50% chicken, 20% chicken liver, 0.1% salmon oil, 0.1% sunflower oil and 0.05% slippery elm powder. I am always wary of things I don’t recognise- slippery elm in this case, but the pack informs this is added to aid digestion and support through immune system and it hasn’t had an adverse effect on Portia, so seems fine. This is worth trying if you have a cat with food allergies and those do not include chicken or salmon (both are low down the list of common allergens, so this is worth a shot even if your cat has not yet been tested).Update: both of my cats thoroughly approve of all of the flavours of the new Scrumbles pots. Very little gets left behind and Portia, who is 19 (don’t tell her I told you) and has very few teeth left (lost in vet arms, scraps etc), eats the lot. I have bought several batches and Portia has actually put on 0.2Kg in weight, probably as a result of these little pots, which is great news as she had been struggling. A bowl of Scrumbles is enough to get her to wake up and get out of bed to eat.

DON'T BUY THIS CRAP UNLESS YOU ENJOY CLEANING UP POO!
Having read previous reviews, which were kind of mixed, I thought I'd give it a try anyway. As with most cats, mine is incredibly fussy with his food, so I wanted to treat him to something different. He certainly ate the first pot and was licking his lips afterwards, so I guess he liked it. Great! Well, no. A few minutes later, I heard him scratching at the floor in the hallway; some he's never done before. I went to see if he was okay and, much to my consternation, there was a trail of poo from the bathroom (where his litter tray is kept). The poor thing didn't even have enough time to get to his litter tray! But, this was not the only cause of my consternation! On the packet, it makes a big deal out of containing a substance called slippery elm; something which, according to the makers, is good for a cat's digestion. How can it possibly be good for digestion if it causes diarrhea??! I know cats have sensitive stomachs and mine is no exception. However, on the few occasions where I have changed his wet food because he was bored with the stuff he'd been eating, there was a slight change to the consistency to his poo, but not to the same extent as today (by which I mean it didn't go straight through him within minutes of him eating it)!So, if you're thinking about buying this, DON'T! The packaging is completely misleading; the gloop inside the pots looks like something from another unfortunate creature's bum; and there's a real chance your cat might get ill if you frequently feed it to them. As far as I'm concerned, one pot is definitely enough to know that it might be good for something, but it's definitely NOT a cat's stomach!
