Kids love this one, but harder to build.
Thought this would be the death of me. This was one of the hardest built models so far (try bending metal into a ball), yeah took me almost 8 hours to build this using a magnifying glass, a dozen different pliers and a hurt back. However it looks great, and the boys absolutely LOVE this one the best. These are a lot of fun for downtime, or when you can do other things. Again you need a good set of pliers and snips to remove these, some of the pieces are VERY small (and I lost a few) however there is so much detail to this thing, you'd never know they weren't there.

Good Model, Great Detail, Potentially Tricky
The kit produces a surprisingly detailed model, although some of the rounded shapes are a bit polygonal, as is to be expected. As with all Metal Earth projects, it can be tricky at times, so I would not recommend it for most kids under 13, at least without help from an adult.

The best looking metal earth model yet, and not too difficult.
I've done 4 SW metal earth models, and I didn't find this one to be very difficult. If you can manage the other star wars sets, then chances are you can manage this one. For me, the most difficult models are those with pieces so small that they can't bend properly. This model did not have that problem. All of the pieces fit well, but I did have to use glue to get it tight and secure. In terms of looks, it is the best looking model by far. The proportions of this tie have been improved from the original version, which had farther apart wings and a smaller cockpit. While the special forces tie is far from my favorite star wars ship, this is my favorite metal earth model because it has the most detail and texture variation out of the ones I've done.

Smaller than expected
Smaller than I expected it to be packaging wise. It's about as thin as a credit card. It was not quite what I expected quality wise because the metal was so thin but I did like the fact that i didn't need additional tools. I most likely won't be purchasing one of these again because of the size. I woudl purchase it again if it was bigger.

Good Tie Fighter Model
This version of the Tie Fighter is much easier to build than the other Metal Earth one. The cockpit this time is constructed in two pieces, making getting to the tabs much easier, although a few still require a small pair of bent nose needle nose pliers to get to them, but that just goes with these models because of their size. Overall not much I could suggest in the way changes for the drawings, the order the parts go on, etc. or suggestions on the build. If you have constructed a few Metal Earth models you should not have a difficult time with this one.

Unless you're a neurosurgeon who's a watch maker on the side; Nope !
I've been building models since childhood, but this isn't for the normal modeler Basically, its tiny pieces requiring little bends while putting little tabs in microslots. Good luck twisting what does stick thru to secure it; Especially on the large strut to the mount as the inside strut is in the way. Eventually, I broke a few tabs and it was worthless. It didn't help that one of my wing struts was malformed and had no slot for tab either. Yes, I had magnifying glasses, lights, and needle nose pliers. The trash can was my favorite part of this project.

Great model
Looks really good once assembled. The pieces are a little smaller than the other Star Wars morteros but it looks really good

Belle maquette
Petite taille.

Excelente producto y a tiempo.
