Teetering on Like and Don't Like.
A few things. I've never bought SmittyBilt before for any of my Jeeps. I just purchased a new one and it does not have a hitch, so thinking I'd kill 2 birds with one stone.I was frigging shocked as soon as the box showed up, big sticker on the side "Made in China". It really made me feel guilty when typically I deal with fabricators who are both right here in the USA (Alabama, Texas or Colorado). I was in a hurry to get something due to a trip that is coming up in the next few days and the peeps I typically deal with have a very long lead time (talking weeks to months). The instructions SUCK. Yeah, it only took me about 2 hours to put this all together, but about an hour of that is trying to figure out the pictures. Oh, and none of the parts are labeled with their part numbers BTW further adding to my install time. Some of the parts I'm replacing from the stock parts, are cheap and flimsy (Case in point the tow hook mounts on the left frame rail being replaced with a cheap L shaped "nut plate").The difference between China and US welding is the welding is China welding is sloppy. I've had a hard time with one of my previous bumpers coating it as the welds were beautiful, ground down and clean (no flux). The interior welds on these bumpers are sloppy. They did not clean up spatter and it looks like they ran it straight into coating afterwards. Finally the fit. Along the back side of the Jeep the fit is pretty good. Its the "cold rolled steel" corners that I'm having a serious issue with. Perhaps I'm just super anal about my rigs and the other "hardware" I've used in the past. I feel the corners extend much further then needed, exposing a great deal of paint to road debris. I know some readers will probably roll their eyes at that, but there is no reason for looking like total crap on the trail. :)All in all, it's okay. I'm teetering on putting the factory bumper back on after my trip and selling this in a Jeep swap meet until I find something that looks and fits a little better.

Love the look but has draw backs as well
I liked this bumper due to the fact that it isn’t what everyone else is sporting. It flows well with the rock bars and my front bumper as well. I also liked that I can get a bumper mount spare carrier and take the weight off my tailgate. Love the look it gives although it is slightly longer then I really wanted but I figured if my wife is behind the wheel it will be added protection for the body corners.. what I disliked about it, and if you read any of the other reviews , the instructions are trash. The parts are labeled in the instructions, but not the package, the photo copy of original instructions were so dark you couldn’t see what most of it was actually describing. You tube saved the day in this install.. twice as many bolts and nuts came as was needed. The factory bumper is a joke but this thing is a Beast. It is a 2 person install due to weight. (That’s both good due to sturdiness, and bad because with my tires, rims bumper, ect it now weighs in at about the same as a Sherman tank. ) I love the led lights in clouded with it but the harness is not plug & play on my year at least ... if made specifically for your Jeep, I would think that should be a simple thing. All in all so far I love this purchase.

So so so pretty. I mean tough.
This is a quick install. If you have a tow hook on the rear of your vehicle / and if tow package as well is in place that will need to be removed along with old bumper.I selected this SRC gen 2 model over the XRC gen 2 because it melded well with the rock bars on the side of my jeep. So it was a nice flow of rolled bars to solid bumper. There is a total of 8 bolts being used, as well instruction give torque ratios for Metric as well as Standard. Make sure to look at the top of the bolts. Mine were metric10.9 strength, so that is the torque to go off of.The lights are included and you should get a very large Smittybilt box that is strapped and should show no signs of alteration / missing straps per say. The lights / bolts / supports are in one box with the larger box, and the bumper is well wrapped and solid. Overall pleased so far. Ohhhh keep in mind to torque the bolts again after driving around. One other warning that I experienced, and that do not push the bumper / seat it close to the jeep painted surface, I was thinking the closer to the vehicle the better, but you want the 1/4 inch gap to be between bumper and body (painted surface under rear door. Reason being if you place it against frame and if you have and body movement separate from frame you will get paint rub, but I noticed it because I could hear a squeaking from rear when going over bumps etc.. so use the side bolts to make this slight separation occur...As well I connected the lights as straight backup lights, this kit is a day time running light kit, so as such half of the wiring is not needed, and make sure you go to the drivers side rear light if doing so and keep it simple. If you have a tow package just follow that wiring up.

Solid bumper, doesn’t allow for frame mounts of SRC roof rack.
The bumper arrived in perfect condition and quickly. Price was decent, would easily buy from seller again. Anyone who has researched this bumper would know the Smittybilt instructions are weak, but there are good videos online. No surprises there, and it looks great. A tiny bit of rub with my stock tire, as I didn’t get the Tire mount attachment at this time. My only issue is with Smittybilt; I’d already purchased the SRC Roof Rack, which they advertised could be frame mounted with any SRC bumper. Smittybilt didn’t specify that ‘any SRC’ doesn’t include the SRC Gen 2 bumpers, I had to drill the rear rack mounts into the body. A heads up if anyone else is thinking about the full SRC roof rack setup with this bumper.

The bumper I have been waiting tor...
Very well packaged. Great product but cryptic instructions. Some steps you just have to know because they are not stated.Great fit and finish. Great looking bumper. The rear lights are a nice touch but more instructions on where to run the harness would be helpful since this is for Jeeps from 2008 to 2016.Truly, this is one of the best Jeep bumpers on the marketUpdate:I had an issue with the rear flood light harness. I contacted the seller, who inturn had me contact SmittyBilt. They replaced the entire harness at no cost and lights are working again.Great Customer Service.
