DIY 5 Ton Hydraulic Jack Heat Press Machine with Dual 5x3 inch Heating Plates, Separate Temperature Controller

I was surprised how sturdy it is. It's not light by any means. It won't break in the first run however, I'm left wondering how long the heating elements will last after reading the instructions. I assume product failure occurs after frequent high temp settings. It comes factory preset at 210 degrees Fahrenheit and goes up to 450 I think... I haven't turned it up to find out exactly. The instructions on setting the temp is easy to understand however they do not disclose how to program it- and it reads word for word "Do not press the program button. If you accidentally hit it - call customer support" I assume they get a few calls. I will probably be one of them because I want to know fully how my press functions.The electronic controller box also doubles as an enail heater which is nice, but I probably won't ever turn it up that high and use it for that purpose so the heating elements will last longer.I bought it to smash nugs. It would be nice if they threw in some 90-150 micron nylon mesh bags so you don't feel like you are using a glorified hair straightener on the day it arrives when you want to see it produce something right away.Parchment must be trimmed in a T shape to accommodate the frame in the front to be able to catch dripping product during extractions.Also, the controller shown in the online picture was red and I received a yellow box with a honeycomb/honeybee graphic wrap. Not a big deal... Just not a fan of surprises when it comes to ordering things I need online.Packaging seemed like it was a good idea I'm sure... There's lots of Styrofoam in the box but they are wedging all electric components between the heat plates and those are held in place by the jack- under pressure. At some point during delivery the bottle jack shifted and scraped up the base plate. I imagine shipping a compressed bottle jack intended to hold components in place inside the box seemed like a good idea- but they really need to step up securing a better packing method and stop playing games with a 400$ product.Overall I'm happy, but this brand could really benefit from adding a few finishing touches to their end-user product experience.

Bought this heat press 8 days ago. Worked so-so for pressing flower but was not strong enough with the 5 ton jack to get a good return of rosin. I put in a 8 ton jack and maxed out pressure, it blew up in my face and shot the acron nuts the hold the top across the kitchen. The description clearly says you can change out the jack up to 20tons.. it blew apart with 8tons of pressure. 380$ and used it 3 times before it broke. I would not recommend anyone changing the jack out. The cage is not strong enough to handle 8 tons of pressure let alone 20 tons I would not stand within 20ft of this press with anything more then 5 tons.

Kikvape nailed it with this press, its heavy construction and square design make it so easy to use. The 3x5 plates heat up quickly to there preset temperature and is easily adjusted to desired temp. 4 ton is plenty of pressure.. Best press for the price that can’t be matched. Will recommend, dabs up 🔥💨

I was worried when I saw that other reviews mention the random colors and yellow being a possibility. I wouldn’t mind blue and red or even better blue and green. But I seem to have been extra lucky since a got what appears to be neon green wrapped in a well fitted graphic of the pillars of creation. And I think that’s awesome looking. I’ve was worried the thin plates sandwiching the heated plates would be fragile as they are very thin. However they feel like they’re made from an extremely strong metal and it’s reflected in the weight of the entire unit. This is quite a heavy press and it makes cranking the lever down easy, yet the thin plates putting the colorful raw build parts on display make it show worthy too. If you want a personal press for oil extracting and other heat crushing needs, you can’t beat this build for the price. Very satisfied with how this purchase turned out.

I got my press today and in the first press the jack leaked oil everywhere and my temp control box is smelling burnt. Not a happy customer. Recommend buying a better unit. Not to mention the temps that show on the controller are way off from the actual heat plates. Ruined a lot of product due to inaccurate temperatures.

Rosin press was very easy to use and is an exceptional product. Had a few shipping issues with carrier but was corrected very quickly by kikvape. I would highly recommend the press and KIK Vape .

The media could not be loaded.  Works amazing I recommend to everyone easy to set up and use great deal too packed amazing great company overall.

Did not work when arrived for more than 5 minutes. Replaced fuse- same results. Used grounded 110v power.Unit damaged in transit apparently, but customer service is lacking and they make you lug this whole thing back to a store
