LG WDP5W 29 in. Wide Laundry Pedestal with Drawer – White

We purchased a special order, extra large capacity LG washer from Lowe's. They were not able to order the pedestal so they found it on-line for us. We went home, ordered it and it arrived within a few days. It arrived in great shape, it's nice and heavy and we love it.

The LG washer and dryer I have provide impressive performance and value. The pedestal? Not so much. While functional, the pedestal displays the insight of an intern engineer’s first project. This is evident in three areas:1. The ridiculous system for mounting the washer or dryer to the pedestal. The only connection between the 130 pound dryer and the pedestal is 4 sets of plastic tabs and 8 short screws. Pushing or tipping the dryer-pedestal unit will easily break the plastic tabs. (The washer uses 8 sets of plastic tabs, but it weighs nearly 200 pounds.) The important detail is PLASTIC TABS.The installation manual says to place the pedestal into position, level it, then lift the 130 pound dryer into position on top of the pedestal. If you have to slide the dryer into position you must pull the pedestal out, mount the dryer then push it back into place being very careful not to break the plastic tabs connected the two.2. There is no way to adjust the leveling legs of the pedestal once it’s in position. Removing the drawer reveals a sheet metal pan covering the bottom of the unit. Although the leveling posts extend into the pedestal interior there is no provision to use a wrench on the exposed shaft.3. The drawer is just a tiny bit too short to hold common laundry items. Another ¾” would have made a huge difference.Fit and finish quality is fine. It’s the engineering that falls short. The VW diesel engineers paid a lot more attention to detail.

Was great but was the wrong size for my Washer & Dryer. I was my mistake for ordering the wrong size.
