Mitutoyo 050102, Edge Finder, 1/2 Dia. Shank, .200 Dia. Tip

As with most Mitutoyo tools, this edge finder is a quality tool. It works as it should. The only thing I didn't care for was it came in a small plastic sleeve instead of a plastic tube that most small tools come in. I had plenty of extra storage tubes, so I just threw out the plastic sleeve.

It is accurate, had to use it to pick up for the center of a hole diameter where the probe couldn't do the job. This tool is great quality, and works well for its price. Highly recommend

I'm a level 2 machinist and use this for the mill touch offs. Wider neck but works just the same as the standard size. I've set up plenty jobs already using this so def got my money's worth

As other reviews have suggested, this might or might not be made by Mitutoyo. But it does work decently well, so no real complaints.

Long story short in case you don't want to read the full review. This is a real Mitutoyo edge finder. I read a lot of reviews on here saying that this is not a real Mitutoyo edge finder. People are saying this I believe do to the fact that it doesn't have the name of it on the product on the shaft. I ordered it and when I got it I also thought it might not be real so I also ordered one off of Grainger's site. I received the Mitutoyo edge finder today from Grainger and both of the edge finders are the same. They both are very well made and when I tested them they both found the edge of my test piece at the same place. I believe that this product is a genuine Mitutoyo. The shaft is exactly .2000. This is a great product and I would buy one again from this seller here on Amazon. I have a picture of the two edge finders together. The one I bought from here is on the left and the one from Grainger is on the right. I also weighed both of them and they are the same weight.

Mitutoyo never fails to be the flagship quality tool manufacturer. My parts are always +/-.005 and this edge finder never fails to get me there.

Never have an issue with this. “Kicks off” very nicely and very visibly which is something I have to have. (I hate trying to catch the light to see if a wiggler moved)

Mitutoyo are the best instruments anywhere on earth.

Accurate edge finder, used on a tormach CNC. It gives a good repeatability and accurency. The spring inside tolerate bad manipulations if the tip goes on the side.

Packaged well works as described ! Couldn’t ask for more for the price and how fast it’s delivered!
