Oh, Man, revitalized my appreciation for the Brother Laser printer that I got for my daughter when she got her masters. Now she's off in Muscat, Oman teaching high school math, and I have the hand-me-up printer. Cut the wait time for pixel calculation tremendously. I couldn't be happier.

Easy to install and works great!

My HL-1440 had trouble even printing small PDF files w/o downgrading to a lower resolution. Found the memory upgrade recommendation from Brother and bought this chip. Installation was stupid easy. Rebooted everything and wow!!! Prints big PDF files at the highest resolution.It may be an old printer but unless you absolutely positively need color this laser printer with a memory upgrade is the bomb.
