Insten LP-E5 Battery Charger for Canon Rebel XS XSi T1i 1000D LPE5 EOS 500D 1000D 450D Digital Rebel T1i Digital Rebel XS Digital Rebel XSi Kiss F Kiss X2 Kiss X3 Camera

I bought this several months back, so I've had time to use it about 10 times or so. When I got it, I would recharge two batteries at once by using this charger and the original charger that came with my Canon T1i. I noticed that based on the indicator light, this charger seems to charge batteries slower, sometimes close to two hours.Another drawback is that batteries are difficult to pull out once snapped into place. You basically have to attempt to grab the little sizes of the battery with two fingers and pull it outwards. It's hard because the battery is tightly in place with a plastic "hook" holding the other end of the battery. One solution to this is to tape a strip of strong paper (or normal paper folded up to 4 sheets thick) to the inside of the battery bay, with one end of the strip sticking out directly next to the charge contacts. After placing the battery in, you can pull on the protruding paper strip to make the battery pop out easily.Overall, considering the inexpensive price, this makes for a decent back-up charger in addition to having another charger (but not a good replacement charger by itself). Just have to allow extra time for charging.

Good Built Quality, It does what it is suppose to do, Just like the Original there is a red light indicates when charging and a Green light when charge is done, charging time is very much closer to the original. This also come with a Car Charger. Super and very happy with the Product.I will wire a further review if I do come across any defect in the Product.

Not sure how it did it but I plugged in a battery to charge and after a couple hours I put it in my camera but the battery was dead and the camera wouldn't turn on. I couldn't see how the charger would do this so I plugged in another battery and it is dead now too!! Somehow this thing killed two of my batteries! Doesn't make any sense but I recommend you stay away from this product.

Perfect for what I needed. It fit, didn't melt, and was inexpensive. I have an XTi, and it works fine. It charges in about an hour from completely dead. I've had bad experiences with some chargers that get hot; this one gets moderately warm, but not enough to warrant any concern.

It's great and it works fine. No explosions or anything that anyone has been describing, it just charges it don't ask for anything else from a charger. I like how it came with the car charger adapter though. Basically the car charger thingy plugs into the regular charger if you didn't know.

We lost the charger for our Canon Rebel camera and was afraid we would have a hard time replacing it. This was easy to find, very affordable and came to our house very quickly. Would recommend to anyone who needs to replace the charger that came with your camera.

First one I got was dead on arrival, even though it looked brand new. Second one, at first seemed to work, but instead of charging, it's running the battery completely dead. Absolutely worthless product. Don't buy.

This is most definitely NOT a charger for Canon LP-E5 batteries. Even though this product clearly advertises that it fits Canon LP-E5 batteries all over the packaging and charger, it does NOT. As you can see in the picture; it has TWO charging pins, a negative and a positive. However, the Canon LP-E5 battery itself has THREE charging slots: a negative, a positive, and a third one directly in the center that is labelled "T". Thus, this product can NOT fit the LP-E5 battery into it at all. As a side note, while the product is clearly not going to be the best quality based on it's price, it was completely missing one of the screws that hold it together. Never purchasing from this seller again.EDIT:After contacting the seller, they were able to refund my money, so that mitigates the irritation somewhat. However, the point remains, do NOT purchase this if you are looking for a charger for Canon LP-E5 batteries.

I was skeptical when I ordered this cheap charger. It came today and what do you know! It works! It charges the battery super quick, which is great, and came with a car charger as well. Hopefully it won't conk off. So, day 1 review: great replacement for my original canon charger that I lost and I highly recommend this product. Will update in a couple of months about its durability. About the seller: I placed the order on May 4th and it said it would be delivered between May 11th and 22nd - I received it on May 12th. It was neatly packed in bubble wrap. The box was new. I would use this seller again.

A while back I ordered this and was sent a completely different item. I needed it desperately as I attend art school and it was finals. They agreed to send me a new one and I thought everything was working itself out BUT when I got the product again (way after I needed it) turns out the product does not even work for a Canon Rebel T1i !!!!!! Do not buy it! The battery fell right out, and there are two metal pieces not three. First finals now missed pictures for my Cuba trip, this experience with amazon has honestly been nothing but stress and anger.

It was good but very tight to fit into place & then the bottom thingy broke off & now doesn't hold in place, gotta watch how it's plugged in to stay in place

This battery charger for my digital camera is better then the original charger that I got with the camera. Thank you and the price is amazing compared to the original.

when I first took it out of the packing I thought it was cheaply made and not up to cannon standards .However it did do the job and charged my battery which I am very happy for, bonus item for me having a car charger to go along with it was goodalthough I have not tested it as of yet because I just received it .over all I am happy to have it and not have to pay a lot of money for the genuine product .

Better than expected !Price was great compared to Canon's brandQuality is most excellent.Charges very quickly compared to the Canon version.Would most certainly recommend to others
