WS-58-30- Windster Under Cabinet Hood

Good luck getting parts like replacement lights and power converters when it starts to fail.

Comes with cheap plastic connector to vent pipe. Did not come with one way vent valve to keep smoke and wind vented out of kitchen. Instructions were very unusefull.

It's a great vent hood. It could be a little quieter and the lights could be a little brighter. It looks great and does well as a vent hood!

After comparison shopping, we decided on the Windster WS-5830SS because it had all of the good features and none of the bad. People complained about other hoods with touch controls that don't work or thermal switches that don't shut off. This hood has discrete mechanical switches which are trouble free and no fancy thermal switches which have proved troublesome. This hood uses the latest LED lighting, far superior to halogen since LEDs use hardly any electricity, generate no heat, and should last forever. The exhaust power is fantastic and peace has finally been restored to our home, since the lady insists that cooking odor out of the kitchen is a no no. As for appearance, it is gorgeous. The stainless steel was totally protected in a well padded container. The professional installer said it was the finest hood he'd ever installed!

Excellent hood that has several speeds and plenty of power to suck out odors when cooking. Works very well. Easy to mount and takes up little room above the stove.

We had the microwave / venthood combo from another maker and any time we fried bacon or burgers we had to open all the windows and fan the smoke detectors with a broom. NOT ANY MORE! This thing sucks all the smoke out of the room. The bigger bonus is it looks GREAT! Our kitchen looks like a model home now. The small LED lights really light up the cook surface. The filters wash in the dishwasher. Everything I could of hoped for and more.

Exceeded expectations for CFM flow through. Not sure what sone rating is, but happy with the exhaust performance. Easy to mount.
