Look at little weird but awesome!
Let me say first that I’m a big barefoot trainer fan, I’ve been wearing Vibram Five-Fingers down the gym for years, and I love them. I also buy into the whole barefoot/minimalist shoe thing that they make your feet stronger, and help you move and exercise in a more natural way, which means less injuries. So I thought it was about time that I bought some regular shoes that I could wear a way from the gym and these haven’t disappointed.I wasn’t sure whether to go with the regular or the wide but in the end I went for wide and they’re a perfect fit. They provide all day comfort and it’s great to feel the changes in texture of the ground your walking on. Plus I find they’re surprising good for driving and for sitting at a desk when you don’t really feel like you’re wearing shoe at all. I’ve also got no complaints about the quality, they’re a well made leather shoe.BUT the looks! With being so flat and wide they look a little weird. I guess that might be why narrow shoes sell so well or maybe that’s just convention, I don’t know but I’m going to stick with them in the hope that the looks grow on me because other than a slight wobble about the looks I love ‘em to bits and can’t recommend them enough.

Foot-shaped shoes
I do find the "barefoot" idea interesting, but really I went for these shoes because they're foot-shaped. That shouldn't be a rare thing after thousands of years of cobbling, but most modern shoe manufacturers seem to think toes exist to be squeezed. Vivo prefers to leave toes alone and squeeze customers' wallets instead - and to be fair, if some of that price is going on sustainable materials and actually paying the people who make the things, it's not a bad amount to pay. These are a good fit, very comfortable and they look good with a suit. Unlike my Primus Trails, they fit with the insoles left in. That's probably because they have thinner insoles, but I like the feel of the cork and I'm glad to be able to use it. The leather is thin but looks OK.There is a logo stamped on the back and a name on the top of the tongue, which is not ideal for formal wear but they're hardly noticeable (and, let's face it, probably not intended to be all that formal) so not really a problem.

Comfort and looks
Vivo does are always comfortable and often very stylish. This is the sixth pair I've night in about 5 years and I've not yet worn any out. These are beautifully made, a lovely deep colour, very comfortable and seem hard wearing. No sign of wear on the door yet and I've walked about 2 miles a day in them drive they arrived. The leather is thick and beautiful quality. The soles are thin but the cork insoles are a good thermal barrier. They also seem to be completely non slip - even coping with wet leaves.Highly recommended. Vivo are the only shoes I can wear all day without my back complaining.

Great shoes.
Great shoes, very comfortable and smart. Did take a little while to adjust to the fact the sole is very thin but no problem. Wore these with a blue suit to a wedding making sure the belt colour matched the shoe colour. Had many compliments and they look very smart. Neutral foot print very comfortable. Bought another pair in black.

Quality barefoot shoes for work
These are my first barefoot shoes, and I now wear them more than any other pair I own. They are smart enough for work and I'm happy to do short walks in them without the cork liner, but I do appreciate the additional cork lining on the tarmac paths so pop them in for longer walks. They have also helped alleviate the pain in my achilles tendon.

Just buy them
I switched from traditional shoes to the vivos in Jan 2021 and have been alternating between these and another pair in black 5 days a week at work. I'm a teacher and spend most of my day on my feet, and the Vivos have been great.I started out with the cork insoles in, but removed them after a while. They are fantastic - can't recomend them highly enough.

Best shoe ever for everyday use.
Best shoe ever. Comfortable looks good. Fit is good. Go with European size not the UK one for accurate fit though.

Too tight across top of foot.
Too tight across top of foot. There was plenty of space for toes and the sole felt good.
