Reusable Elbow and Knee Hot & Cold ice Gel Pack - Instant Pain relief

I love these little guys. I bought several different models from the same brand for elbows knees neck etc. When chilled they do warm up moderately fast, it's useful to have two if you are chilling...so you can swap them out as they warm up. When heated they hold heat for quite a while and the way the heat feels against your skin is good compared to some other methods. Hot has really helped my sore neck muscles and ear infection. Cold has really helped my elbow injury from flaring after the gym. If you don't overheat them they wont blow up. Give them like 3/4 of the time it takes to warm them in your microwave and squish the balls around so the heat distributes a bit, then finish off warming it in little increments. I've already heated the neck one up like 35 times in a week this way and no issues. Very satisfied so far.

This is a great concept for icing sore knees but there isn't a lot of blue beads in the one I bought on 3/17/17. You must keep it in the freezer so you get ultimate cold efffect. I push the beads of the 3 sections where I need the most knee relief but the company needs to fill the sections fuller with the blue beads. I bought one of these at Marshalls last summer with a lot more blue beads inside the sections. Hope I hear from the seller!

I rarely write product reviews but felt I needed to post feedback on this item. While it is well designed (with a hole for the elbow) and stays in place, the product I received had very few of the gel beads. It is these beads that freeze and make the pack cold. Without enough of them this pack is basically a mostly-air-filled plastic tube that is useless for icing down my sore arm. To illustrate the issue I'd refer you to the picture of the item. It is the beads that make the pack blue, my pack is mostly clear with a few of the blue beads that migrate to where they are not needed when the pack is on my arm.

I am so happy I finally bought a gel pack specifically for my knee. I had been using a chobani knee brace to strap frozen veggies to my knee after workouts.. effective but somewhat cumbersome. The nice thing about these gel packs is that I can strap them directly to my knee without having to put a cloth between due to the cold. The instructions tell you to put the gel pack in the freezer 20 minutes or so before you plant to use it, but doing that just didn't provide enough sustained cooling for me, so I keep my gel pack in the freezer all the time and that way it stays cold/cool for just about the recommended 20 minutes when I use it. :)

It gets to room tempurature very quick, I also wish they would not leave the open circle, but close the whole thing with the ice pack.Pleasant when on just wish stayed cooler for more than 5-10 mintues, and that hole would be plugged.

Works great! Stays in place well and defrosts at a good pace so I dont feel like my knee gets too uncomfortably cold so I am able to keep it on for a recommended 20 minutes.Update: I got a second one and it is half empty. Returned and ordered a third, but it is also poorer quality. The first one had a lot of beads in it so stayed cold a decent amount of time. The new ones have hardly any beads in them. Incredibly disappointed.

Does not stay cold for very long at all. There is just not enough little gel balls cool the knee anyway. The pockets have a lot of air in them, so those air pockets are in contact with the knee instead of the cold gel balls. So most of the gel balls do not transfer any cold to the knee. Would not buy again.

I like it. I wanted it for my shoulder, not an elbow or knee, and I can strap it around my upper arm and it works. The only issue I have is that it doesn't come with a "case" and so it's awkward to come up with something to cover it while working with the velcro straps on both sides.
