When is this product best applied

After aeration so early spring is probably best though any time really

Will it break down clay soil

Yes, but over time as it will encourage earthworms and adding in some organic matter will also help draw material and nutrients into the clay soil and over a period of 3 years it can go as deep as 1m, helping drainage and making soil a lot lighter and biologically very active

There is no peat because this is not ”soil” as such. It is a conditionner and adds ”goodness” (fertiliser) to the soil you already have. It is not a growing medium as such. You add it to your soil to improve and feed it.

Will this help break up clay soil that's really hard and set?

Good morning. Yes, however this won't be an instant process, activearth will gradually break up clay soil over time in order to improve soil quality and drainage. It is a long term solution. I hope that helps with your query. Kind regards, Envii
