Croakies Sunglass Holder
I have a pair of Maui Jim's that I like to baby. So for our recent family vacation in Jamaica, I wanted to wear my Jim's but was terrified of losing them in the ocean. I bought these Croakes to ensure my Jim's made it home. They definitely did not disappoint. They come with two different sized attachment pieces and the bigger of the two fit perfectly on my Jim's. They were very easy to put on and not very easy to take off. I actually was afraid I would break my glasses by trying to just pull the Croakies off. The monofilament cord around the back is super light weight and doesn't irritate my neck at all. Overall, I love these and am very glad I bought them. I only have one minimal complaint and it probably only matters to girls. Taking the glasses on and off over my head with the Croakies attached can be a challenge, especially when trying not to mess up my hair. Additionally, when they are hanging around my neck and I want to put them back on my face, I have to be careful as my hair gets caught around the cord and then tangles around my ears. Overall, great purchase!

Getting ready to order another Croakies eyestrap
I really have found this item to be very sturdy, durable, and so far no defects since purchased about 2 months ago. The product fulfills its purpose, but next time I will order a larger size. Depending on your top clothing (shirt, vest, coat) the glasses may ride up or down on your nose, due to snagging on clothing. No big deal to me. I ordered the clear croakies, and they have white triangular colored tips on each end, and I would have preferred that they entire ensemble be clear, as I ordered. I do wish I would have come up with the idea because it is basically just like heavy duty fishing line. Speedy service and highly recommended. I am getting ready to order 2 more Croakies eyestraps very soon for other glasses I wear.

So Much Better
These Arc eyeglass retainers are just what I needed. The cords on all my older ones were just too long. The old ones were a big hassle to get back in an eyeglass case. Now I can put my eyeglasses in all sorts of cases and just hang them by hooks via the monofilament cords extending from each case. That way, my glasses stay dust free. The angle of the cord is easily adjustable at the ends, so you can have them set high, so the cords are off your neck. You don't even notice the cord is there. The cords are also detachable at each end, but they are quite secure. They also make an adjustable version: Croakies ARC Endless - 16" - Black The Arcs come with 2 pairs of temple end grips, one each for broad and narrow eyeglass temple ends. I got the 14" and 16" versions in different colors, so identifying my eyeglasses is easier. These are so much better than any other eyeglass retainer system I have ever owned.

Works really well but looks a bit geeky.
My favorite quality of the Monofilament Croakies is their resistance to body moisture. Fabric based retainers become soaked with sweat and become irritating. These are comfortable all day but looks a bit geeky. My wife calls it my "antenna". The laugh is on her. I always have my reading glasses ready. She is constantly either looking for some (she has them all over the place) putting them on or taking them off. The only problem I have is the silicon rubber connectors will wear out at some point so it is a good thing they come with a spare. I keep an extra retainer on hand. I got to not like these because of the look. I later ordered Croakies that are black and not so stiff so they are not so visibly evident. People that give these a low rating because the connector boots wear out are correct but they work so well for me and I am so hard on them I still give them a 5.

Works great
I only need glasses for close-up and typically hang them from my shirt. After they fell off a million times and then I actually *lost* a pair of glasses, I decided to try these. I like the cable because it's lightweight and clear, and you can actually wash it off if your neck gets a little sweaty. They come with two sizes of ends that slide onto the eyeglasses arms and they fit just fine - no slipping at all, yet easy to take off if you don't feel like using them. The ends articulate so when you are wearing your glasses, you don't have a cable hoop sticking out of the back of your head, lol! Nice product and I would buy it again.

Secure, Stiff and Unformtable
These retainers are very light, very durable, and fit very securely on the ends of some Maui Jim's that I use. Having lost some and broken others when they fell from a shirt pocket, a retainer such as this really is a must, particularly for expensive glasses. However, be aware that these bands are quite uncomfortable. Because they are so thin and rigid they cut into clothes and neck when hanging. Also, becuase they are so stiffthey don't sit well when they are hanging from the neck. When the glasses are on the face, the retainer often chafes against the neck, and I have to readust it. Finally, I bought what was desribed as a large size, but it is still quite short, expecially if one is taller.

This is a pretty good retainer, but...
I like this item a lot; however, the reason I didn't give this retainer 5 stars is because the monofilament that drapes behind your neck is so stiff that whenever the monofilament comes in contact with a thick, high-collared jacket, sweater, or anything layered around your neck, such as a scarf, the monofilament will push your eyewear slightly down your nose. It's annoying, especially while driving.

great idea, but expensive and short lived.
These are great eyeglass holders with flexibility and relative comfort. I like the clear ones in the 18" size. I would have given a higher rating if they had lasted more than 2 months! The connector that slides over the earpieces split and turned yellow and won't stay on the glass. Now if I want these, I'd have to pay another $13! If it was $6 a piece,it won;t be so bad. I will not spend over $150 a year to hold my glasses up!update:I complained to the company about the connectors and they sent me replacements, but unfortunately these too stretched out, turned yellow and started to drop the frame. So I give up. Too bad the idea is great and the filament is still in great shape.
