Big Verb in a tiny package!
This is my first Hotone Skyline series pedal which interested me after I saw some reviews online. The Skyline series are very small pedals - I'd say about 2/3 the size of mini-pedals, and about 1/4 the size of regular pedals. This one is the Verb pedal. It is tiny, but it has a surprisingly hefty metal frame, metal on/off and inputs and a thoughtful small metal bar in the middle that keeps your foot from moving the controls when you turn the pedal on and off.Controls for Reverb (how much reverb in the mix) Tone (how much treble or bass in the reverb trail - a very useful feature) Decay (the reverb trail length) and Shim (adds a nice shimmer variable according to how much reverb you have in the mix. A lot of shaping available for such a small pedal. For me personally, I like to set Reverb and forget it, and sometimes I like 2 reverb pedals - one with a long tail, and one with a short trail. This pedal works great for me as a set and forget always on Reverb. My personal favorite setting is where it improves my sound, but doesn't get in the way: Reverb on about 9:30, Tone on about 9:30, Decay on 2 3/4, Shim On. This yields a nice warm reverb that doesn't jump out but is there, and makes playing feel a bit nicer and easier to play.A nice feature is that the Decay control is like a clear guitar volume know that lights up in a way that you know the pedal is on but the light isn't pointing at your eyes.In the box is also a piece of velcro pre-cut to exact size to still allow access to the 4 screws, though no need to undo the screws. The pedal is so small it has no room for a battery so it is powered by any of the pedal power type boxes or 9v adapters, just like most other pedals if you don't use batteries with them.If you are looking for a mini pedal to free up space on your board, this might be what you are looking for.I don't think it will be a first choice for surf music, or ambient sound crafters, but for a bit of nice good old reverb I think it does very well. Price is quite reasonable as well.As a side, the seller, JFOUT has their items shipped directly from Amazon's warehouse - I got this is 1 day with my Amazon Prime!

Good reverbs come in small packages
This is a great little unit with very wide functionality. The reverb on my Bugera V5 gets crappy above 5, so I wanted a stand-alone pedal to wetten up my sound. The design of this pedal is so fun (it looks like a face to me) and so unique that I thought I'd try it out.Right out of the box it was much tinier than I thought it would be, which is a plus if you want to save precious space on your pedal board. The bar is also a nice feature that prevents you from mushing buttons with your foot. This reverb is very versatile and can go from just a little bit of room warmth and echo to super psychedelic echoey sounds and everything in between. Using my Bugera V5, a TS clone, my Tele neck pickup, and this reverb, I got a very cool gritty blues/rock sound for lead. Delay around 3, reverb at 3 o'clock, and tone at noon sounded good to me.There's also an added shimmer button, which adds an octave layer thing. It kinda sounds like a six string, sort of. It's a fun extra feature, but not really my thing. I could see some players definitely using it though.Construction seems very solid, and it feels well made. There's no popping noises when you step on the switch, and the jacks feel good and tight. My favorite thing is probably the "hat" knob that lights up. Very cool. I honestly would've bought this pedal just because it is so stinkin' cool looking and adorable--that it sounds amazing is just an added bonus.

Unfortunate, loud switching in an otherwise playable reverb unit.
Surprisingly appealing reverb tone (though not the highest quality out there, it's not bad), decent overall build quality, ultra-compact form factor for cramped pedal boards, and it seems real true-bypass make me want to like this pedal. Shimmer effect is certainly a hate it/or love it sound in this unit, and I wasn't partial to it myself, though perhaps if it could be adjusted I would use some of this pedal's shimmer. Here's the big issue though: the foot switch is far from silent and this is a dealbreaker for me. Both in switching the unit on and off, there's a very noticeable and notorious 'pop.' So silent-switching ain't happening here folks. At higher volume levels, it would be even worse. Maybe this would be fine for practice and bedroom playing, but not in any live setting.4 stars would have been the rating had the loud switching not been an issue, especially for the price I could've had it for. Oh well.Disclaimer: I played this pedal on a 'test-drive' from a local music store and have not owned this pedal. I didn't buy it because of the lack of silent switching.

Good sounding pedal
Good sounding pedal. You'd think the small size would be a plus...not so much. It's just slightly bigger than a matchbox car. It's so light that I had to attach it to my pedal board with a zip tie or the pressure of the cables alone would flip it over. I like the shimmer feature. Definitely worth the price.

Quit working in less than a year
Liked it first.Small size which is what I wanted and itsounded pretty good. But it just now quit working.I've had it for about 8 months. It lights up, and passes signal through on bypass, but no sound at all when switched on.I'm trying to decide whether to look into the warranty and return it, or just take the loss.

Volume problems.
I'm surprised by how powerful this pedal is. My only issue is that turning it up seems to lower the volume of my guitar.

Great effect in a small package
I've been using this for about a week now and I love the sounds I'm getting out of this effect. I plan on using it on the keyboard next. It is supper small but built like a miniature tank. All metal body. One con about it is it's so small there is no room for batteries. Plug in only for 9V power supply.

Tiny with big reverb.
Love this little guy! All the reverb you need. Plus the “ Shimmer“ option adds a nice touch.
