Your child can ride the cutest bike in the neighborhood with the Mist by Schwinn. The Mist features a steel Sting-Ray style frame with Smart Start geometry that’s specially designed to be a perfect fit for kids. This includes a lighter bike frame for added control, smaller grip handles to match smaller hands, a narrower pedal position to match narrow kid hips, and much more. The single speed drivetrain makes riding easy and maintenance simple, while the intuitive coaster brake provides sure stopping power. The Mist also features classic Sting-Ray elements, like a banana seat, “sissy” bar, and fenders – plus handlebar tassels for extra fun. And like all Schwinn bikes, the Mist comes with a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own the bike. Inspire a lifetime of cycling with the Mist. Enjoy the freedom of riding a Schwinn.

Good bike but not the best fit for us right now.
The bike is nice. Hard to put together due to vague directions but still workable with the correct wrenches and common sense. This bike did not come with training wheels so, I purchased some that said they fit Schwinn bikes. Of course they did not. Lack of training wheels is an issues. Also, I have a 5 year old and a 7 year old who are both of average height based on medical records but appear to be much shorter than their classmates, so I will say they are short and both were very UNCOMFORTABLE with the height of this bike. We will probably have to hold it until the summer or until we can find training wheels that fit. It is a nice bike in general but it is quite big. I am 5'4" and I could ride it fairly comfortably, I just looked like an idiot on a child's bike.

Disappointed
Ok so I do love this retro bike...BUT. First we got a bike that was missing the tassels and the pedals. Amazon quickly sent us another in time for our daughters birthday this coming Saturday. Well we put it together and in order to put it on the lowest setting the seat ends up at an EXTREME angle. It’s absolutely ridiculous. You can adjust the FRONT of the seat but not the BACK! Anyways if you want this bike that bad be prepared to drill holes in the steel hoop thing on the back of the bike so you can lower it. I’m pretty sure it’s low enough now that our short soon to be 8 year old can hop on it. We will see in a few days. For $125 I would expect a better thought out design. Also both bikes came in a destroyed box with holes and the bike has scratches in the paint.

Handlebar grips dirty and damaged
Ordered from Amazon Warehouse Deals. Bike arrived damaged--box had been crushed on one end. Parts not cushioned by packing material. Missing streamers. Handlebar grips dirty and damaged. Big dent in rear fender. I pounded it out and filled it and then painted it. A lot of work but it turned out fine. Amazon refunded portion of purchase price. Granddaughter is thrilled with the bike. Loves it. Identical to Julie the American Girl's bike except for color. A lot cheaper! Easy to assemble. Instructions were okay but not great. I lowered the banana seat at front and drilled holes in rear support to lower the back of the seat. Granddaughter is a small 10 year old--44 inches tall. She rides it well and safely with the modified seat height. Amazon gave good service. Would give it 5 stars if it hadn't arrived damaged. I have read reviews complaining about "heaviness" of bike--it's not a road bike and pedals smoothly. A stable ride.

Nice bike
This is a pretty darn good bike. It was mostly assembled whenI received it. Rides well (for my six year old daughter, although I can ride it too) nice looking and a great price. My daughter is six years old, a tad shorter than average height. I dropped the seat post down all the way and pulled back the handlebars, pretty far back so she can ride it. It is a tad big for her, although she can ride it ok. The problem more is just getting used to a 20" wheel back after riding here 12" or whatever it was she was using, which at one point was her 'training wheel' bike. Also, when she did fall slightly, it took some getting used to, of abandoning the pedals and planting her foot on the floor. It's because she is much higher up on this bike than what she is used to.

Bigger than normal 20" bikes
I bought the Sunlite 24" Saddle Rail, which allowed be to lower the seat all the way. It was much too tall for my 7 year old with the saddle rail that came with the bike.

Head turner.
It's just a beautiful bike. Assembly was easy except for one aspect: If your young rider needs the seat post in the shortest position, you will need to drill extra holes in the sissy bar to attach the back of the seat. I have some good cobalt drill bits (from Amazon!) so it was not a huge deal, but it is important to know.

Great replica bike for a new generation.
I bought this bike to replace one just like it but a different color that was stolen out of my yard.I bought the last one used. This bike is really nice. Easy to assemble with basic tools. Great packaging. Built well. I am sure she will love it as mint green is her favorite color.
