I had a Chi for many, many years and needed to replace it. I initially decided on the Chi Lava, which I ended up being very unhappy with. It pulled my hair, didn't get hot enough, and was just not up to the standards of my initial Chi. My hair dresser has L'ange straightener and was a previous Chi owner, as well. I decided to give this straightener a try and I could not be more impressed. I have had it a week and have already fallen in love with it. It heats up quickly, allows for heat control, shuts off after 1 hour of being on, leave my hair smooth and shiny, and doesn't pull it out while straightening! My hair is also holding the style throughout the day, which I also had difficulty with during the day. This is a great tool for getting your hair pin straight or going for the beachy waves/curls!

Okay ladies, if you have really thick, coarse hair that requires a lot of time to style, this thing is AMAZING!!!1) it heats up super fast - literally to 400 in about 15 seconds. And it’s super lightweight.2) I usually have to use really high heat to style my hair but I haven’t needed to go beyond 395 much at all, so it doesn’t feel nearly as damaged from high heat.3) the on/off button is on the inside which is nice because I always accidentally turned off my old straightener with the button in the side/outside.4) my hair is so smooth after using this and feels far less damaged.5) it has cut my style time in half!! I have enough hair for two heads and it’s unreasonably course and thick and usually takes 20-30 minutes to style. I’ve let my hair grow longer than normal because I’m still able to style it in less than 10 min!!

I've been using hair straighteners for more than 15 years and I always have ceramic flat iron. This one is titanium and believe me its really so smooth and easy as you stroke your hair. I’m a hairstylist, so it took me awhile to figure out how I felt about this iron. This flat iron is very nice. It’s super pretty, warms up very quickly, has an auto shut off feature. Easy to keep clean. Doesn’t snag hair. Wish it had a little bit more grip on the hair. But all in all, I really like it.
