Catit Eco Terra Natural Cornhusk and Raffia Cat Toy, Ball with String

My cat is getting more plump as he nears 20. Thought I'd try this and another Catit ecotoy (the really dumb looking wheel-like one with ribbons sticking out the end). He plays with both every day - and he enjoys sleeping with them. After six weeks or so, it's holding up well. If it fell apart tomorrow, I'd buy another. After all the money I've spent on cute or "inventive" toys that were just ignored, this gets the attention.

Man are these sturdy it's been hanging up for 3 days now and only half of the string has been chewed off. I recommend as a great cat toy to any one who has normal to overactive cats, unlike mine who are massive brutes who can tear up any toy in a day. It looks like 1 piece wrapped up in very stiff raffia, unlike other toys I've bought that end up being 2 halves of cardboard and Styrofoam glued together. Those they can pry apart in under an hour. For the price they are a good deal.

The long strand on this broke immediately, before my cat even SAW it. I took it out of the package, unraveled the string and it snapped. I ripped the entire rope off, he likes the bauble at the end but possibly just cuz it's new. I don't suggest buying this. 2 stars because the bauble is fine.

This was a great investment of a couple dollars. Even a few months after I've bought the toy, my cat still plays with this every once in a while. The cat can play with it on his own (he usually bats it around and then sort of gets himself wrapped in it and drags and claws it as he rolls around), or I can pick it up and play with him (and it's long enough to keep his claws away from my hands!).I like that it's made of natural materials, and the material has held really well through all his grabbing and clawing. He doesn't gnaw on it much with his teeth, so we haven't had any problems at all with it starting to fall apart. Now that original catnip seems to have worn off, I just spray some catnip spray on the ball section, and then he is interested in the toy all over again! I would definitely spend three dollars on this again!

It's a great texture, makes a nice sound on the floor - but the raffia string is so thin and weak that it broke in one day. My cat liked it for the short time it lasted. It's a shame this issue hasn't been addressed - Catit typically makes very good products.

This was great till the cord snapped in half while playing with it with my cat. I've ordered 2 and the first one I got is still in great shape. This may have been a one time incident, with how much my cats love them I'll be ordering more 😍

Bought this to put on top of a scratch post where the original got destroyed. This holds up much better and my cats love it.

Bought this for my cat because he loves chewing on things like strings and qtips. The second I opened the package and threw the toy my cat was obsessed! He loves playing with this by himself and with me. The ball has some weight to it and helps it roll around making it fun for him to chase.
