K1 Bio Filter Media Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor for Aquaponics, Aquaculture, Hydroponics - Ponds - Aquariums by Wholesale Koi Farm, 2 Cubic Foot (Bulk)

Works great for my converted sand filter to bio filter for fish pond. Took only about a week for junk to start collecting in the filter. You could probably get the same results with any of the k series. 2 cubic feet is a lot by the way. I only needed one box to fill a 22 inch by 12 inch round filter.

I set up two twenty gallon fluidized sumps for a 125 and a 55 gallon tank and made four "percolators" - in tank reactors above my sponge filters to boot. Nice media and they included a free coffee cup hidden in the middle. :) Great seller.

Good stuff for a fair price

I used this media- combined with larger K5 (pricier brand) and some K1 (pricier brand) also bought on amazon and I must say, it's different. There is a little less surface area on this media since they do not have the external ridges (almost like a gear or sprocket) how the pricier brands do, however, it does work and does seem to hold beneficial bacteria.Other than that, it does take awhile to hold bacteria as there's a shiny film on this. My recommendation is to mix some potassium permanganate up and let it soak in that for awhile before adding to the bio filter.And POOP CHEESE! (because I always appreciate a good review)

Seems to be doing a great job filtering in my 55 gallon drum! Pretty expensive but does a nice job.

I picked up a total of 4 cubic feet. Great price and as described! The "estimated" delivery date was for about 8-10 days after purchased however, I received it in less than 48 hours!

So much lighter than sand... seems to work well in my old sand filter I have filtering my koi pond.

As advertised, clean very good product. Maybe a little pricy in my mind.

Arrived within a week. Decent quality. Installed and working well.

Does not look like k1 media - it (double) the size and thinner than any k1 media that i have ever purchased? I don't want to mix it with my actual k1 media-
