[Updated] Love LifeSpan and This Treadmill!!
Got this after reading many reviews online that it's the best treadmill for under $1000 in 2016. Delivery was on time, although they only had one person delivering it, which proved difficult to get on my porch as the unit is about 300lbs.Was able to put it together in 90 minutes, no issues. Directions were clear and easy to follow. Getting it into my basement was a different story, but I was able to do it myself (I'm 235lbs, 6"2', not very active/athletic....yet).Fired it up today for the very first time, and 3 minutes into my run, the belt started slowing and the motor started to emit a burning smell. I immediately hopped off, and the belt slowed to a stop on its own. "E1" appeared on the screen. I turned it off and on again, and pressed "QuickSTART" button without actually standing on the machine. I heard the motor fire up, the interface counted down from 3, but when the belt was supposed to start moving, it didn't. "E1" popped up on the screen again.Saddened and frustrated, I tried to speak to someone on the LifeSpan website via their IM service. After 5 minutes of waiting, I got a message that said something along the lines of "no one is available in Customer Service to help you at this time, we will reach out to you shortly." I then called the phone number at the top of the website, and this is where the story starts to improve.I got in touch with someone immediately. I explained the issue, and without hesitation, the rep told me he would be sending a tech out to my house, as well as send a new motor and belt to my house free of charge. He said that they weren't going to mess around, and ensure that I had a working treadmill after one visit. If the motor and belt need to be replaced, they will be available to do so. If they don't, at least we were prepared. I must say that I am extremely happy with the quality customer service, as well as the proactive approach. I had to email an invoice of the purchase to the rep to prove that I purchased the unit recently, but that was the only "hassle," which was not a hassle at all.All-in-all, I've spend roughly 180 seconds on the thing, and I must say that, at a 5.0 MPH warm-up pace, the treadmill is very impressive. Feels good on the knees, plenty of running room, and an easy-to-understand interface. Really looking forward to getting this thing up and running asap. It's also worth noting that it doesn't come with lubricant, which I bought separately. I'm going to try lubing the belt when it arrives to see if that's the issue. However, the motor burning smell has me concerned, as it may have sustained some damage, so having a tech look at it (free of charge, of course) is still in my best interest.I wanted to get this review up asap to ensure that others know what they may be getting themselves into, as my unit will be out of commission for at least a few weeks. I would suggest that you purchase at your own risk if you want it up and running on day one.Long story short (or TL;DR for you cyber-savvy folks): Easy setup, may not work out of box, EXCELLENT customer service (thus far), and a very quality unit as far as my running needs. I will update this review once the unit is in full working order once more.Stay tuned.Update: 1/13/2017.Changed my review to 5 stars. The customer service is legendary. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to teach me how to properly maintain the unit so it lasts years and years. Turns out that I had a bad motor, but he replaced both the motor and running belt. Been running several miles everyday since the repair, and this thing is a beast. I haven't messed with the settings too much regarding running options, but as it stands, it is certainly worth the price. I still stand by my previous comment that you may get a defective unit initially, but ultimately, this company will take care of you like few companies do nowadays; with swiftness, a proactive mindset and professionalism. LifeSpan has certainly made me a happy customer, and they will continue to get my business for years to come. Even if this things craps out on me sooner than I expect, I know that I'm in good hands. I also purchased the extended warranty for just over $100, which I highly recommend.Happy running!

Great treadmill for the price - but USB drive not included
This is a great treadmill. To get anything noticably better, you will need to spend two or three times as much. This is perfect for 99% of people using a treadmill at home.Delivery through CEVA was great. Be aware of that if you are ordering through Prime. The delivery date you see is the date it gets to the shipper. You then get a call to schedule delivery. You will not get it on the date shown by Amazon. The CEVA delivery is "doorstep" delivery. They leave it outside your house. The guy said he is "not allowed" to go inside. However, a $20 tip and he helped me get this inside, down a flight of stairs, and into my basement home gym.The box is large and VERY heavy. Do not underestimate that. Check the dimensions against doorways, etc. It is big. Removing it from the box only buys you a couple of inches. It is also VERY heavy. You will need two strong people to lift this. It can be dragged by one. Menuvering the box is very difficult.Assembly is very easy. Many of the screws and bolts are already in place, so they need to be unscrewed first. The instructions are clear and all necessary tools are included. Just follow the instructions and a fourth grader could put this together. It took me about 15 minutes. The motor is very quiet when running. Your footsteps make more noise. The duplicate buttons on the side rails are great. The heart rate is a gimmic, but works with a Polar heart rate strap. It should also switch the display to HR automatically when you grab the grips. It doesn't.Two things should have been included but weren't.1) The USB drive is NOT included. The photos make it look like it is included, but it isn't. They cost less than five bucks and 1gb is more than enough 1GB Red USB2.0 Flash Drive Swivel Design. It is stupid it isn't included. I searched through the packaging for 20 minutes until after calling customer service to confirm it wasn't in there. The USB is needed to tell it your height and weight - which otherwise will always be incorrectly displayed on the screen.2) There is no lube included. Belt lube is like fifteen bucks. The manual says to apply before first use. Come on. At least a sample should be included. LifeSpan Fitness 100% Silicone Treadmill Belt LubricantSo, I really like the treadmill for the most part. The display is nice enough, but I wish it cycled or showed more data on each screen. Keeping your height and weight at the bottom is useless since it isn't weighing me or checking my height. Presumably it is using this for the calorie display, which is not that useful. The fitness tracking software is nice, I guess, but requires an annual fee once the free trial runs out. Garmin doesn't do that. I'll have to figure out a way to hack the data file to import into my Garmin tracking software. Not including lube or the USB stick leave a sour taste in my mouth after spending a fair amount on this machine. Those are small items that should have been included.
