Replacement Bathroom Fan Motor Assembly 120V 1.0A,for NuTone 663l/669l 763RLN 763RL

Easy and cheap

This works for Nutone 663l/669l but it had to be retro fit. The outlet hole was not identical to the original. The mounting tabs did not line up with original and the mounting nuts and screws for the vent motor prohibited the light assembly to be securely attached. Had to cut new outlet hole and drill two holes in light assembly in order for it to be mounted. A job that should have taken 5 minutes took two hours.

This product is not an exact fit. I had to transfer the motor to the original body which was not difficult, then when i plugged it in. it did not work until i spun it with my fingers. then i let it run for about five minutes, unplugged it an tried it again and it worked, So I but it all back together and tried it and it worked for two minutes then died completely . Ahhhh! a waste of time & money!

I bought this complete unit instead of just buying the motor and fan thinking that I could now at least start with a clean housing and fan. The housing of this unit is not an exact match for the 669 housing although it has the same dimensions. The housing has stamped on it that it fits only units 763RL and 769RL. The hole for the sockets is slightly different and the hole for the retaining screw is not at the same place, The fan is also different. I saw that the new motor and fan would fit into the old motor and mount, so I swithed the motor and fans out and it worked OK. Save yourself some money, see if you can just buy the motor and fan, not the entire housing.

I looked high and low for a replacement for an old NuTone exhaust fan and this was the only one that fit the measurements I needed. I was thrilled that I had this choice. Unfortunately, the holes on the metal piece weren’t cut as close to the edge as my original and I couldn’t get the plugs thru in a way that would work. I ended up using my old metal piece and just taking the motor off this ZQQ Replacement Exhaust setup. It was that or cutting the metal. Works fine now and the motor is okay. It is pretty loud but I am just thankful it’s working again ✔️

Eventhough I ordered the exact model that was originally installed - what came had to have some major adjustments to fit.

This mounted fan does not accurately replace NuTone models 663L/669L. Specifically, the cutout for the fan and light power outlets is misplaced; close, but not functional without heavy modification. I detached the fan motor, and used it to replaced the old one on the existing plate. Very frustrating, given its description as a “replacement!”
