The Best Tool I Own!
The absolute best tool I own! I purchased this so I could make a set of cornhole boards for a friend, and have since used it to build a miter saw table, headboard, picture frame, and more! I am very new to woodworking, and found this tool very easy to use. Not having viable screws or holes on the outside of my work adds so much to the quality. I went back and forth between this and the K4, and while I have never used the K4, the K5 is very intuitive and easy to use. The wings store all of the accessories (except the clamp), so everything stays together. Having the clamp handle in the front makes tightening and adjusting the position of your project so easy. The quality and durability are very impressive as well, I am hard on my tools, and this feel like it will hold up for a very long time.

It is better than I expected
I mounted mine on a board and put no skid strips on the bottom to make it even easier to use. They have covered everything with this design. Easy board thickness adjustment. Super easy to use clamping mechanism. Excellent dust collection. Storage trays with a chart showing what sizes and types of screws to use for different situations. The only weakness it has is the dust collection port. It is flimsy, comes off too easily and is designed in a way that makes it very difficult to get a hose attached without the adapter falling off. It is workable but poorly designed. The rest of the jig is perfect.

This K5 system is a no brainer
Ease of use, sturdy product. This model is an upgrade from the K4 that I’ve had and used for several years and is still a great unit but this is more innovative. I’ll definitely have many years of use with the K5.

Great improvements over K4MS
I'm a DIY hobbyist and set out to build some cornhole boards with my boys. I initially purchased the Kregg K4 Master System from a local big box store. I had about 20 pocket screws to add to each corn hole board, with material of varying thickness and depth. The K4MS system makes changing depth really easy with the depth guides built into the side of the tool. However, the K4MS is a bit clunky when using the horizontal screw to change material thickness. This is kind of trial and error. While I was looking the other way, one of my boys removed the screw that changes material thickness, and this is where the problem started. For whatever reason, this would not thread back in. After 10 holes in I could no longer use the K4MS and had to return to the big box store. I purchased the K5MS given the board thickness was build on a slide rail system with a pressure clamp. This thing works so much better, and it's a heck of a lot faster. Also nice that it came with the wings and stop so that you can clamp to a larger piece of wood, and use the stop to ensure you set your pocket holes at the same place on each piece. I also purchase the case separately which has been awesome given the number of pieces this set comes with. It's nice that it even has space for the clamps. The only draw back is the depth gauge for the bit. This was easier/nicer to use on the K4. If you loose this thing you're out of luck which is why the storage box is handy. Anyway, I'd recommend the K5 over the K4.

Very useful tool
It took me a while to get used to this tool. My project was to extend an old "highboy" that my grandfather made without damaging the original build. This allowed me to put pocket holes into some painted pine wood, extend it by 3.5 inches and use a sheet of luan flooring cut to fit the extended area. I practiced of several pieces of wood before attempting my finished product.

Pocket hole joinery made easy
I bought this to use for rebuilding all of the face frames for the cabinets in our kitchen. I used 3/4" hard maple for the cabinets and pocket hole screws made for quick and strong joints with no gluing. This fixture made it very easy. I used a square to make sure the pocket holes were perpendicular to the joint although I don't think they actually need to be. One thing that I found was that it was really important to make sure that the end cuts of the rail pieces were perfectly square since that determined the overall squareness of my face frames. I appreciated the value of the included clamp to ensure that the faces were perfectly aligned together. But I also found that I had to clamp the joint pieces together to ensure that they wouldn't separate as I drove the screws in. I had one problem with splitting because I accidentally put a pocket hole too near the end of one piece. After that I was a little more careful to avoid that and I didn't have any more problems. This was my first time using pocket hole screws for joinery and I was impressed with how well they worked.

Sawdust all over inside of the box
This product came with sawdust all over the tools inside the box. I’m assuming I got a returned product. All the parts were accounted for and in good shape though.

The instructions are very easy to follow
I bought the Kreg jig to complete a built-in bookshelf I am building along a wall in my home. I used the joints for the center, fixed shelf for extra support. The instructions are very easy to follow, which is important as the final set-up is not exactly intuitive. I have made many joints, in varied sizes and thickness of wood, with this jig now and am very happy with the results. My only recommendation for the product would be to include not just the proprietary driver bit, but also a long Phillips head bit. As it stands, you will either need to have your own bit to use standard screws, or you will have to purchase the Kreg proprietary fasteners.

Great addition to my tool collection
WOW. What did I do without this tool? I Love it. Precision holes that are consistently repeatable. I am a home DIY'er and am usually trying to make things by myself, so having pre-drilled holes and a clamp that that pulls my boards together in a tight grip, certainly makes it easier to put my projects together. As a woman, the right angle clamp is a bit hard to use one handed and it can tear out the hole when using MDF or softer boards (bought separately) but the flat edge clamp that comes with this kit is a breeze to use once you know which way to turn the dial to adjust it tighter or looser. Glad I bought it. It made making my cabinet for my wet bar 100% easier.
