HIKARI 42055043281 kzci 8.8-Ounce Cichlid Gold Floating

My fish have been eating these for years and have grown to an intimidating size. My Tiger Oscar has outgrown her tank twice (55gal & 120gal) and even now is need of an even larger tank. She is about 12-13 inches now if not more and very strong. Aside from the occasional snack (earthworms, other live food,...) I have only fed her these Hikari pellets starting with the mini size. All my fish have great bright colors and are healthy which I attribute to proper maintenance and Hikari Fish Food. Just remember to keep the food put away; I have found that not only do my fish love them, so does our cat and 2 dogs. Cat has devoured 2 full bags so far (the only two times I failed to put away) and our dogs like them better than there own treats.

Fish love it. I wasn't going to rate the flavor because I'm not exactly up for tasting it. For the smell, well yeah it smells like fish food. The ingredients are top notch. If you want your fish to thrive do NOT skimp on your fish food. This is high quality food for your large cichlids.

We have Oscars, Silver Dollars and Pacu. They all enjoy Hikari Cichlid fish food, we buy the medium and mini pellets and mix them as some fish are large and some are small. They are all excited to see the food coming out and one of the Oscars will almost jump out of the tank to be the first to enjoy his meal. Our fish are healthy (some are many years old) and the colors are good which must be in large part due to the food that they eat.

My Oscar loves it - at least when you first put it in the tank. If the fish don't eat this right away, it puffs up and floats in the tank. The fish do not seem to want it once it puffs up. Otherwise they love it

I have 3 aquariums and have tried different fish food and my fish goes crazy for all Hikari fish food! It is the best and my cichlids are healthy. They were the size of a 50 cent piece now they're about 8 inches now! Definitely recommend this food.

After feeding it , they wouldn’t eat it , so I had to net it out . Hikari is a really good brand .. I’m going to keep trying with them.. it has the nutrients they need, so I know eventually they will get hungry and show more enthusiasm. It could be that I’m quarantining them right now , so I bet I see more action, once that’s finished .

Can't go wrong with Hikari products. I used to run an aquarium and exotic fish store, this was --and still is-- one of my top brands to buy. These are my favorite floating pellets for South American cichlids (mine is an Oscar).

The fish eats it so we assume he must like it.
